A Beyblade Burst fanfic: The White Tyrant's Starlight (Lui Shirosagi x OC)

Chapter 1 [Volume 1]

Maiko — a young and beautiful lady. And also the little sister of the one and only... Zac The Sunrise!!!

Just like her big brother, her passion for music is through the roof.

Wanting to be an idol just like him, she already started her career at a very young age. She went through countless workshops so she can master the art of music. She worked hard day and night. And also competes in singing competitions.

She is also competing in "The Next Big Star!" — a reality show where aspiring idols compete in singing battles to see who is worthy of being an idol. The grand prize is a partnership with the biggest music company in Japan.

This show could be Maiko's big break. She already has a fair amount of fans due to her gigs. She's confident she's gonna win.

But she's also still a teenager. And every teenager has to go through High school. She was homeschooled up to 6th grade. But this year is gonna be different. She suggested that she should go to a real school and make real friends (She only has Zac and his girlfriend as her friends. And she hasn't made a single friend out of her hundreds of fans). And also find some inspiration for new songs.

"Hmmmm what school should I choose?" Maiko said while scrolling through pictures of hundreds of different schools.

"Ooh Rideout Academy looks pretty nice." Zac suggested as he leaned over to take a closer look at the schools.

"You think so?" Maiko questioned.

"Yes! You know the legendary blader Lui Shirosagi right? He also goes there." Zac mentioned.

"Oh? Really?" She was shocked about the information she learned.

'Hmmm if a legendary blader goes there, then I should go there too.  I might also be lucky there and become a great idol Teehee~' She thought.

"It's settled then." She says as she stands up "I'll study at the Rainbow academy!" She announced proudly.

"Uhh it's 'Rideout' dear sister." Zac corrected.

Despite knowing alot of songs, Maiko has a problem with remembering names sometimes.

"O-oh— Hehe..." She nervously scratched her neck out of embarrassment.

It was the day Maiko finally goes to her first ever school. She was half nervous and half excited.

And she's on her way there right now.

"Now, do you have everything you need?" Zac asks her. "Yep!" She answered excitedly.

"And your phone?" He asked again. "Yep!" She beamed as she showed him her expensive phone that has a pink fluffy casing with a cute bunny keychain.

"Good. Call me or Ayaka if you have some troubles." Zac reminded.

"Of course! Thanks big brother!" She beamed as she hugged Zac. He of course, hugged her back.

They now arrived at the school. Maiko got out of the car with her head held high and a smirk on her face.

"Have fun at your new school, Maiko!" Zac waved goodbye.

"Bye Big Brother!!" She waved back before the window closed and the car drove off.

"I can do this!" She said to herself, determined.

She walked towards the gates of the academy. And there were already whispers.

"Who's she?"

"Is she new?"

"Why does she seem familiar?"

She overheard, but didn't mind it.

She first went to the Principal's office for her classroom and class schedule. Then after that, she made her way to her room. As it so happens, a teacher was about to enter the same room as well.

"Oh! Hi! You must be our new student!" The teacher said excitedly.

"Y-yes Ma'am!" Maiko bowed.

"Ok, wait here.." She ordered softly. And Maiko obeyed.

"Goodmorning, class! Today we have a new student!" Maiko overheard her announce to the whole class. She assumed that was her cue to enter. As she walked in, she could hear gasps and whispers.

"Finally a new student!"

"Woahh she's pretty!"

"I swear I've seen her before..."

She just made her way to the center and confidently introduced herself.

"Goodmorning everyone! My name is Maiko Kaneguro! And I hope we have a fun year together!" She beamed. Then, suddenly, a student stood up.

"I knew you were familiar! You're Zac's sister! Also known as 'Maiko the starlight'!" He remembered. And everyone was in shock.

"OMG OMG OMG We have a celebrity in our class!!!"

"WAH! THE sister of the one and only Zac the Sunrise!"

"I'm not worthy to breathe in the same air as her.."

She nervously sweat drop watching the whole class talk about her. But she noticed one unique student. He was just staring at the window, not caring about what's happening around him.

He wasn't like the others.

Especially since his hair was literally blue fire.

But her thoughts about the student came to a halt when the teacher spoke up.

"Ok, class, that's enough! Maiko, you can choose which seat you like." Her teacher said.

"Oh! Oh! Pick the seat next to mine!!"

"No! Sit next to me!!"

"Pls be my seatmate!"

She ignored all those pleads and proceeds to sit next to the blue haired boy. Some students sulked cause they didn't get to sit next to a local celebrity.

But there was something about this boy that makes him feel special...

And no it's not because of his hair.

She just couldn't put it to words, but she really wants to befriend the boy.

Once Maiko settled in, she greeted the blue haired boy.

"Hi!" She greeted happily. But the boy could only say, "Hey", and went back to staring into nowhere.

But she just threw off his attitude and listened to the teacher.

She smiled to herself as she caressed her now desk.

'Finally a real classroom!'

'With real teachers!'

'And real students!'

'I wonder if I can use that boy's hair as a campfire...'

Something tells her she's gonna have a great school year.
