"Has Lui... Always been-no offence-But.. A meanie??" She asked, trying to not sound rude.

Gabe just chuckled.

"Well... He's not always like that..." He started.

"I just think he's misunderstood. He did spend a lot of time overseas so it makes it hard for him to make friends. Especially with his intimidating aura. He's mostly just staring at the windows during vacant times. Not wanting to talk to people." He explained.

"Ohhh..." Was all Maiko said. She really pitied Lui. It must have been hard for him.

"But once you get closer to him... He'll most likely not shout at you haha." He added.

Maiko chuckled along.

"Hey, you should hang out with us. I mean, if you want." Gabe offered. "YES PLS!" Maiko immediately answered. Gabe chuckled. "Want to join the beyclub?" He offered again. "Oh, sorry, I don't really do beyblade." She rejected.

She immediately gave up after that humiliating launch. She really should just stick to singing.

"Oh.. That's too bad." Gabe pouted slightly. "B-But I can cheer you guys on!" Maiko cheered. "Haha thanks." Gabe smiled.

"Ms. Maiko?" A man in a suit entered the room.

"Oh! That's my ride! Bye Gabe!" She waved as she stood up. Gabe only raised his hand up. She quickly ran to the door, but came to a halt. She looked back at Lui, still training, not even saving her a glance.

"BYE LUI!!" She waved at him, loudly.

This surprised Lui and caused him to look back. But as soon as he turned his head, Maiko already left.

Gabe was smirking from his seat. Looking at Lui.

Lui was still staring at the door Maiko walked out of. Brows furrowed.

"She's one of a kind isn't she?" Gabe stated as he stood up from his seat. This snapped Lui back to reality and went back to his training.

"Shut up." He said as he pulled the chord. Gabe only smirked at this.

"Opposites do attract..." Gabe whispered as he walked out of the room.

~The next day~

Maiko was super early today. There were barely any students yet. She skipped towards her classroom. Her heart also skipped (a beat) when she saw Lui inside.

He was just looking at the window. He looked so peaceful.

Unlike yesterday.

Maiko composed herself and went inside the classroom. She then sat down in her chair. Awkward silence filled the air.

"𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑑𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑀𝑎𝑖𝑘𝑜! 𝐽𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑠𝑎𝑦 'ℎ𝑖!'." She encouraged herself. She took a deep breath and faced Lui.

"Hi, I feel like we've never properly introduced ourselves. I'm Maiko Kaneguro." She calmly said with a warm smile on her face. Lui turned around to see Maiko smiling warmly, extending her hand. Lui stared at it for a moment before finally accepting it.

Maiko blushed a bit.

"My name is Lui Shirosagi. NOT 'Loki Shikigami'." Maiko sweat dropped at this.

"Ehehehe..." She nervously laughed.
