Chapter 39

The cruise ship experience was finally coming to a halt. They all packed their bags and were ready to go home. They were now in Japan's seas, and were just waiting for the cruise ship to dock.

Maiko quietly stood beside Lui by the rails. He was staring intensely at something in the sea.

"What are you looking at?" Maiko asked and looked towards the direction he was looking.

She saw an island not far away. It has an unusual looking mountain. It was scary looking.

"You staring at the island?" She asked.

"I'm planning on buying that island in the future." He seriously stated.

"W-woah! Really??" She gasped and Lui looked towards her and nodded sternly.

"H-hey, did you cry or something??" Lui just noticed Maiko's puffy eyes.

"O-oh it's nothing.." She hung her head down low.

Realization struck Lui. "It's about Evee isn't it?" He guessed. He remembered that Evee was just a temporary pet in the cruise ship. And you're not allowed to bring her home.

Maiko got too attached to her.

And to be honest. Lui did too. Well, a little bit. Even tho he held a grudge against Evee. He sure was going to miss that cat.

"Y-yeah.." She started to tear up. Lui gave his girlfriend a warm hug and gently rubbed her back.

"I-I'm gonna *sniff* miss my little *sniff* Evee..." She cried. "Shhh.. It'll be fine.. You have Prince back home remember?" He tried to soothe her.

Maiko let go of the hug and wiped her tears. "Yeah.. You're right.. I do miss my Princey." She smiled.

They went back to admiring the beautiful sea. The wind gently blowing on their hair.

"Did you have fun, Lui?"

"With you? Everything's fun."

~1 month later~

Maiko was at Lui's bedroom. Laying comfortably on his bed while Lui is cleaning up Luinor at the edge of the bed.

She was minding her own business in her phone. Scrolling through social media. She's still on her career break. But she's planning to apply for '321entertainment'. It's an underrated music company in Japan. It only has a few singers. But Maiko is certain she'll make it work.

But for now, she just wants to relax.

"Oh Lui~! What color of this dress fits me better? This one? Or this one?" She asked while showing the pic of the dress to Lui. She wanted to do a little bit of online shopping.

Lui examined each dress. "The blue one." He answered and went back to cleaning Luinor.

"Teehee~ thank youuu!" She said as she tapped the 'buy' button.

She turned off her phone and laid it on the drawer, next to the picture frame of her and Lui.

She rested her eyes for a bit, wanting to take a nap. But it was interrupted by Lui. "Oh yeah, you left your sunglasses here." Lui said. Maiko immediately sat upright

"Really?! Oh thank goodness! I've been looking everywhere for it!" She sighed in relief.

"It's in the drawer." Lui added. Maiko quickly opened the drawer beside her and took the sunglasses.

"Oh! How I've missed you!!" She rubbed her sunglasses against her cheek.

But she also noticed dozens of envelopes in the drawer. "Huh? What's this?" She picked them all up and read the addresses one by one.

"The Royals..."
"SB Rios..."
"AS Gallus..."
"The Raging bulls..."
"BC Sol..."

Lui was scouted by Many teams. She thought no one scouted for him because he never brought it up. And she thought it was because Lui was too frightening to handle. Well, to be honest, she'll be too scared to invite Lui too if she was a team manager.

"Lui— these are all invitations for you to join these teams... Look! Even BC Sol scouted you!" She pointed at the invitation. "Don't you wanna join? The Raging bulls and BC Sol are the two biggest teams in the world. Don't you feel honoured?" She asked. But Lui just shrugged.

"Tsk! Who needs teams? They're just a waste of space." He shrugged.

"But it'll be more efficient to train with a team~" She tried to convince him.

"Huh! They're not worthy of having ME on their team nor battling with me." He scoffed. "I'd rather train by myself than surround myself with low class bladers." He added while crossing his arms.

"And besides, Shu is on The Raging Bulls. While Valt and that Fan boy is on BC Sol. I won't get peace when I join those teams." He added.

"Awww but it'll be more fun to be in a team.." She used her signature puppy eyes while holding up the invitation The Raging Bulls sent.

"Huh! Nice try. But it won't work on me this time." He smirked and Maiko's puppy eyes fell. "Fine.." She sighed.

"Just get some sleep." He ordered Maiko as he lied down on the bed next to her.

"Hmp! YOU'RE the only one who needs some sleep." she poked his forehead.

"Fine." Lui surrendered and went to sleep. Marina warmly smiled.

Her boyfriend really has such a big ego. But he knows where to place it. And she loves him for that. She gently stroked his hair and went to sleep herself.
