Chapter 10

Once they were all settled down, Hanami began introducing the teams.

"All right! As I call each team, will the captains, pls come forward!" Hanami announced.

"Now! Let's announce the first team!" He started.

"Beystars that glimmer with unparallel beauty! The Superstars!"

Hearing her big brother's team, she shouted so loud this startled the whole Rideout team.

"GO SUPERSTARS!!!!!!" She shouted.

"The captain is the singing-dancing blader, the triple threat! Zac the Sunrise!"

"GO ZAC!!!" Maiko shouted.

Then, smoke appeared and with it, Zac emerged from it, doing his signature pose.

"Woah! Hope you're ready for a great performance!!" He announced excitedly. This caused Maiko and all the fangirls to scream.

Maiko really adores her brother.

And Zac swung his way onto the stage. "Hey hey! Like what you see?" He smirked.

"THAT'S MY BROTHER!!!" She shouted proudly which made the spotlight turn to her.

"Woah!! What do we have here?? Our Little Miss Starlight is here with us watching the match!!" Hanami excitedly announced.

"HAHAHAHA! HI EVERYONE!!" She waved cheerfully. This caused all the people in the arena to scream with excitement.

"Zac really likes to make an entrance." Maiko said (Once the spotlight on her was gone) in her inside voice, smiling.

And, in the far corner of the seats, sits Zac's one and only, lovely girlfriend, Ayaka. Smiling lively at the grand entrance her boyfriend made. She's wearing all black to blend in with the shadows so no one will suspect her.

Did I mention she's a Megastar?? She's one of Japan's top actresses. She starred in lots of big movies.

How did she and Zac met you say?

Well they met when they were both picked for the leads of a musical. Music really does bring people together.

And now, back to the teams.

"Next! The magnificent shimmering blade that took the Beyblade world by storm! The sword flames!!!" "And their captain is Xander Shakadera!!"

Maiko went back to her seat and clapped. She wasn't interested in the other teams. The only teams that matter for her are; The Superstars and Rideout.

"Next up! This team has been called 'A pack of wild animals'... Introducing the beasts!!" "And their captain is Ben Azuki!"

"Now! Elegant but deadly! This team calls themselves.. Ice blades!" "Their captain is Quon Limon!!"

"Wouldn't you say it's about time Team Rideout takes the stage??!!"Hanami finally announced Rideout. And with that, Maiko stood up from her seat and cheered from the top of her lungs.

"GO RIDEOUT!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!" She cheered.

"Their captain is Gabe Brunei!!"

"I KNOW HIM! HE'S MY FRIEND!!" Maiko shouted proudly while pointing and giggled, the other members just chuckled.

"That's 15 teams so far...Who's the final team??"
"Lemme give you a hint: They're unpredictable as can be! It's the Beigoma Academy Bey club!" "And their captain is Valt Aoi!!" The smoke cleared but Valt was not there.

"Huh? Is he invisible or something?" Maiko tilted her head to the side. "Must be late." Shinki crossed his arms. "Hmmm.. That's not a good value for a team leader..." She said to no one in particular while tilting her head to the side.

"Ehem! Valt-"
"AND HE'S SAFE!"

Maiko laughed at his entrance. "Kid surely knows how to make an entrance! HAHAHA!" "HAHAHA! If only Lui was here.."

But she noticed him making a weird face and starting to walk like a robot.

"Man.. I know stage fright when I see it.." She said while smiling concernly for the kid.

"And these are the 16 groups for the team battles!!" Hanami finished.

"And without further ado! The Athlete's pledge! Let's do it!"

"After consideration, the blader chosen to adress the audience is none other than.. Valt Aoi!!" Hanami announced.

Maiko just clapped. But slowly stopping when she noticed the kid's weird face on the big screen.

"Man.. Can this kid really do the Athlete's pledge?" She's feeling sorry for the poor kid. She's been on his shoes before. And it's a good thing she finally overcame it. "I don't care! Look at that guy's face! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Kyo laughed.

Valt walked like a robot over to the mic.

"I-.. I-uh.... I.." He stuttered.

"Poor kid..Must be his first time addressing to a crowd this big..." She said. "Yeah probably." Katana answered.

"I! UH! AH! GAAAAHHH!!! I-FORGOT-EVERYTHING!!!"

The whole crowd just sweat dropped.

Maiko couldn't stand the second hand embarrassment. But was surprised to hear the kid's voice finally speaking clearly.

"Listen up! I swear on my partner! I promise to fight with all my strength! And I know Valtryek will fight for all it's worth too! We worked so hard and made it all this way! Come on! Let's show this crowd some crazy good battles!" He announced confidently.

It was silent for a while.. Until the whole arena began to clap.

"I'm not sure Athlete's pledge are supposed to be about yourself. But it's not that bad."She chuckled and clapped along.

"AND NOW.... LET'S START THE TEAM BATTLES!!"
