It's 2 days before the finals. And Rideout was in a van, with Maiko tagging along. They arrived at the Bey arena.

"Huh? You're not going to train at school?" Maiko asked as she unconsciously hooked her arm around Lui's. And Lui didn't push her away (Wow).

"Nope, we're gonna train here. It's the finals! We need a great environment to train in." Gabe explained. "Ohhhh" Was all Maiko could say.

And they all head inside. Lui, as usual, went solo. The bey arena's training center also had the same machine Lui uses. So he's using that instead.

"Hmmm.. I'm gonna go check on the others, Lui! Brb!" Maiko left the room, and Lui didn't even spare her a glance.

"Hi guys!" Maiko greeted the others as she stepped inside the gym. "Mind if I join you?" She asked. "Go ahead." Gabe insisted.

And Maiko went to join Kyo and Katana on the treadmill. "This looks fun! Ahahaha!" She giggled and started the machine. They then started a stamina contest, on who can run the longest. And Katana won. "Wow Katana! Your stamina is unreal!" Maiko complimented. Katana just smirked proudly.

She then joined Shinki on the bikes (I don't know what they're called). "This is relaxing~" She sighed. She didn't see this as a training equipment, she saw this as a real bike. She took her time in peddling it, and relaxed herself.

And after that, she joined Gabe. "Woah Gabe! You're so strong!" She complimented. Gabe gave her a warm smile and got back to his training. Maiko took the place next to him and also tried it.

But the poor girl couldn't even lift it. The struggle was visible in her face, and she gave up.

"Ahahaha... Maybe next time..." She sweatdropped. "I'm hungry.... I'm gonna get something to eat!" She said to herself. "See ya later guys!" She waved goodbye to Rideout and headed for the foodcourt.

"Waaaah~ This is delicious!!" She said while happily munching on her food. She was so focused on eating her food, she didn't notice The Beigoma Beyclub enter the building.

She was about to head back to Lui's room when she looked back at the stalls. "Hmmm.. Maybe Lui would like a snack." She said to herself and bought a large French fries and a large soda for Lui.

But before going back, she decided to explore some more. She went out and breathe in some fresh air in the balcony. She leaned on the fence and admired the great sea. She began to sing a song while the gentle breeze was blowing through her silky hair.

"Once upon a time, there was...
a clumsy boy and a bit of a strong-willed girl.

The two of them lived in different worlds, but one day they met by chance,
and fell in love.

The boy was gentle and always at her will,
and the girl always apologized by letter.

One day when stars fell...
The boy took her hand, and said this:

"I love you. More than anyone else, more than you think I do.
My heart is always full of you.
I'm probably unreliable, but I will absolutely protect you.
Aah, please...I want you
to stay by my side forever."

Before long, days passed, and the two grew old,
and created deep bonds.

As usual, the boy was always at her will,
and the girl was grateful for his kindness.

The same as that day the stars fell...
The boy took her hand, and said this:

"I love you. More than anyone else, more than you think I do.
My heart is always full of you.
I'm probably unreliable, but I will absolutely protect you.
Aah, please...I want you
to stay by my side forever."

After that, the two of them
found their way out of a path of thorns again and again, sometimes fought with storms,
and held hands together no matter what,
and created plenty of huge miracles.

"I love you. Me, too. Enough that I won't lose to you.

Up til now, and from here on, I'll rely on you.
Hey, so let me stay
by your side forever."

And the two lived forever in happiness."

She sighed after singing the song. She admired the beautiful sea once more and finally headed back.

But while heading back, she saw a guy with light pink hair, wearing a yellow t-shirt with a brown vest, and brown pants with a scarf around his neck. He kept turning his head around. Maiko assumed he was lost so she approached him.

"Hey, you need any help with anything?" She asked while tapping the boy's shoulder. The boy turned around and immediately gasped. "You're Maiko Kaneguro?! I-I'm Akira Y-Yamatoga! I'M A HUGE FAN OF YOU AND YOUR BROTHER!!" He squealed while jumping up and down. Maiko just chuckled.

"Are you perhaps, lost?" She asked. "Haha yeah.." He shyly answered while rubbing the back of his neck. "Where do you want to go?" She asked again. "To the exit... My mom's looking for me." He answered.

"Ok! Let me escort you there!" She offered. Akira was flushed in crimson red. "T-thank you!" He bowed.

While walking to the exit, Akira was blushing the whole time.

"Here! We made it!" Maiko proudly says when they reached the exit. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much Maiko!!" Akria bowed multiple times. "The pleasure's all mine!" She chuckled.

"Uhh... ummm.. Can I... Have your autograph... Pls..." Akira shyly asked, pointing his two index fingers together.

"Hahaha! Of course!" She accepted. Akira quickly took some pen and paper out of his pocket, and Maiko signed it. "Oh Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" He said and waved goodbye to Maiko. Maiko waved back at him and smiled warmly.

While passing by Lui's room, she could hear faint yelling from the inside. She opened the door to see Lui walking out. "Huh? You're finish training?" She asked as she approached him. "I was supposed to still be training right now, until some annoying kid barged in." He scoffed. Maiko looked towards the machine and saw Valt. "Huh? What's Valt doing here?" she raised an eyebrow.

Maiko just ignored him and got back to Lui. "Hey Lui, I brought you some snacks and so-" She was cut off when Lui pulled her closer to him because she was about to get hit by the large whip chord Valt pulled.

She couldn't process what happened.

"Hey! Watch it kid!" Lui angrily shouted at Valt and walked out, with his hand still on Maiko's waist.

"You okay?" He asked when they stepped out of the room. "Uh.. Yeah.. Uh-huh.." Marina weakly nodded. He noticed that she was slightly shivering. Well, her life did flash before her eyes just a few seconds ago.

Lui looked at the girl infront of him with concern (but it wasn't visible). "Come on, let's get you home." He said, placing his hand on Maiko's shoulder and walked down the halls.
