"AAAAAAAAA THE NATIONAL TEAM TOURNAMENT'S GONNA START TOMORROW!!! AREN'T YOU EXCITED LUI???" Maiko squealed in excitement. While Lui just winced at the loudness of her voice.

They were at the rooftop. Surprisingly, they spotted a lunch table and decided to eat there instead of the floor. Yes, Maiko and Lui eat lunch together everyday now.

"Keep it down bozo!" He complained and went back to eating. "It sounds like you're the one competing." Lui rolled his eyes, and the once bright girl was now glaring at her companion.

"HEY!" She shouted.

"True- but-!" She couldn't think of anything, cuz he was right. She just let out a "Hmp!" and ate her own lunch. This caused Lui to smirk.

"I'm just excited to see you guys battle that's all!" She defended and angrily took a bite out of her salmon.

"Tsk! Whatever." He rolled his eyes again.

-----

It was finally the day of the tournament. And Maiko was getting ready.

She was checking herself in the mirror until she heard a knock on her door.

"Maiko? Are you ready?" Zac asked. "Oh! Yes brother!" She answered and quickly grabbed her purse. She opened the door to see Zac leaning against the wall, spinning the car keys.

"Huh? You're gonna drive?" Maiko asked, cause they already have a personal driver.

"Ahahaha why of course dear sister! I won't let my driving lessons go to waste!" He said proudly. Maiko just sweat dropped and silently prayed that his driving skills were good.

They made it into the car. Maiko just sat on the back seat, she still doesn't trust Zac with the wheel so she doesn't want to sit at the front yet.

Zac wore his sunglasses and fixed the rear view mirror. Satisfied with his handsomeness, he checked Maiko first before fixing the rear view mirror to its right angle.

"You ready Maiko?" He asked, excited.

Maiko silently gulped "Y-yeah.." She held on to the seat belt tightly.

"Time to shine!" He said before stepping on the gas...

----

The ride was... Well....

Traumatising....

They;

-Almost crashed into someone.
-Almost crash into another car.
-Took a very sharp turn that almost cost their lives.
-Got lost in a forest.
-Ended up on the wrong venue.
-Got into an uncomfortable situation because Zac chose to drive on the bumpy side of the road.

And now Zac is finding it hard to park properly.

"I thought you went to driving school?!" Maiko shouted.

"I Forgot most of the lessons ok!" Zac shouted back. Finally, they parked.

As soon as the engine turned off she immediately removed the seat belt, opened the door, and crashed on the asphalt.

"OH GROUND! HOW I MISS YOU!" She dramatically shouted, kissing the ashpalt.

She stopped kissing it when she saw Rideout in the distance. She stood up.

"Brother! I'm going with Rideout now!" She waved and quickly ran to their direction.

"Hi guys!!" She brightly greeted them.

"Hey Maiko!"
"What's up?"
"Hey!"
"Good to see you!"

All the members said in unison.

She looked around and noticed Lui was missing.

"Lui's not here?" She asked Gabe, a tint of sadness in her voice. "Nope." Gabe sternly said. "Oh.. He really isn't coming.." She quietly said while looking down at the ground. She knew Lui didn't want to go, but she still hoped he'll be here.

"Hey don't be sad!" Kyo tried to cheer her up. "Yeah!" Gabe placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled warmly. Maiko returned the smile and quickly switched moods.

"Come on guys! We gotta have the best seats in the house!" She shouted as she began running towards the entrance. All of them just laughed at her childish behaviour.

------

Maiko quickly ran to the doors for the seats of the stadium. But stopped when she noticed Rideout was still walking from afar. She patiently waited for them, standing on her tippy toes and looking at her surroundings.

When she noticed them getting nearer, she quickly grabbed Katana's wrist and dragged him inside (But Gabe went the other way since he was captain)
. Both of them scanned the whole stadium to see if there were still seats left. Luckily, there was, and it was in the front also.

"Katana! Over there!" She pointed and dragged him along towards the seats.

They were walking peacefully until they passed by a loud group of teenagers, specifically, Just 2 blondes shouting at each other. The ones in the middle just kept quiet, but is suffering the most in their argument.

She just ignored it and continued walking towards their seats. Luckily, it fits all of them.

"Where are the others?" Katana asked, looking around. Maiko looked around too and spotted them right away.

"There they are!" She pointed towards their direction.

"Guys! Over here!" Katana shouted while waving at them. Rideout spotted them and went towards their seats.

As soon as the others settled down, the chairman of the tournament began his speech.
