Tommy POV

The blonde sighed, continuing to poke at the fire. He looked back towards the boy who had finally fallen asleep a little while ago. Tommy was glad he was finally getting some much needed rest. It looked like he hadn't slept in ages.

Suddenly the boy began to mutter, shifting in his sleep. His face scrunched to a look of panic and pain. "Lani... Teagan... No-no! Hold on-... I'm coming... Wait! Lani... Teagan..." He turned over, his murmuring softening a bit.

Tommy looked at him with sadness. He could only imagine what the boy had been through. He shook his head, trying not to think of his own past. He didn't want to think about his parents... how they had turned in front of him.

"Tommy?" a voice called, causing him to look up quickly.

Relief washed over him as he recognized the boy. "Ranboo."

The tall boy nodded, dropping the supplies he had gathered from his journey. He stretched before stopping abruptly. A bandana covered half of his face with sunglasses covering his eyes. Still, Tommy would recognize him anywhere. His hair was messy, a little lighter than Tubbo's. "Who's that?" He pointed towards the sleeping brunette.

Tommy stood up. "His name is Tubbo, I saved him."

"I was gone for two days and you're already trying to replace me?" Ranboo huffed, glaring at the new boy.

"What was I supposed to do?" the blonde retorted. "Leave him to die?"

"You didn't have to keep him." Ranboo pointed out. He sat down, still continuing to glare towards the sleeping teen.

Tommy rolled his eyes. "What do you have against him? You haven't even spoken a word to each other." He shook his head. "How can you judge someone you haven't properly met?"

"It's another mouth to feed!"

"Lani! Teagan!" Tubbo began to cry out once more in his sleep, sweat dripping from his forehead. Tommy sighed, looking at him. He couldn't let the boy suffer in his sleep anymore. Even Ranboo's eyes held sympathy.

"Tubbo... Tubs wake up." Tommy whispered, gently nudging him.

The boy woke with a start, his eyes wide with panic. "Where-"

"You're okay, you're safe. I saved you, remember?" Tommy reassured him.

Tubbo calmed down a little as he remembered what had happened the day before. "Oh." He looked up, surprised to see another teen there. "Who are you?"

Ranboo scoffed, turning away. Tommy instead answered for him with a smirk. "That's Ranboob."

"Hey!"

Tubbo giggled at the nickname, obviously hoping it wasn't his real one.

"The name is Ranboo, thank you very much."

"I'm Tubbo." the boy smiled, hoping he could become friends with the other. He didn't know why, but he had a good feeling that they would. Ranboo only glared, turning away from him. Tubbo immediately got the hint, knowing he wasn't welcome. He sighed, knowing he should leave before he caused any problems. "I should get going I suppose."

"Where will you go?" Tommy questioned.

"I need to find my uncle, then hopefully my sisters."

"Teagan and Lani are their names?"

"How did-"

"You mutter a lot in your sleep." Tommy explained. "Where does this uncle of yours live?"

"Not too far, just up north a bit." Tubbo added, "He's not actually my uncle, we just call him that. He's a friend of my f-father's." He stuttered, looking away. Don't think about it, he begged himself. "Or he was anyway."

"You know they're probably dead right?" Ranboo suddenly said, instantly receiving a glare from Tommy.

Tubbo closed his eyes, looking away. "I know that."

"But they could be still alive too." Tommy said, placing a hand on his shoulder. The brunette smiled at him gratefully. "We shouldn't lose hope."

"Whatever." Ranboo scoffed.

"We should join you, make sure you're safe." Tommy suggested.

"No! You cannot be be serious!" Ranboo shouted, enraged by the simple idea. He refused to travel with this boy. How could Tommy think it was a good idea?

"You really don't have to." Tubbo began, he couldn't help but want the company even though he wouldn't admit it. He didn't want to make Ranboo any more madder than he already was.

"I insist." Tommy turned to Ranboo. "I'm going with him, whether you like it or not. So if you want to be a jerk then stay here."

Ranboo gasped, how could he be losing his best friend so easily. "But-"

"You're welcome to come." Tubbo said, offering a smile.

Ranboo rolled his eyes before sighing in defeat. Anywhere Tommy went, he went too.

And there was no way in hell he was letting Tommy go now without him.
