Chapter 13- A New Problem

Techno POV

The two brothers walked through the woods, silence filling the air between them. Wilbur walked a little ahead, kicking a rock between his feet. The brunette had spoken a word since Phil left them.

As much as Techno had wanted silence, this wasn't what he had in mind. Wilbur wouldn't even look at him and it was driving him insane. He wasn't sure how much more he could take of the brunette's silence.

"Wil, I was just trying to look out for us!" Techno exclaimed out of frustration. 

Wilbur huffed, rolling his eyes. He still maintained his silence, focusing on the rock he kicked with his feet. 

Techno sighed, following slowly behind. His eyes followed the treeline, a strange feeling running through him. As if he should expect something. 

Suddenly he stopped, spotting something ahead. Was that a cat?

Wilbur stopped ahead of him, his eyes locking on the creature. It was a small tabby cat with a white stomach. Different patches of color were mixed into its coat. Two light colored eyes stared back at him full of mischief.

"Wilbur-" Techno began, but Wilbur was already approaching the cat. Techno sighed, following after him. He watched the brunette hold out his hand. The cat inspected him for moment before, nuzzling against his knuckle.

Wilbur gasped, pointing with his free hand. "There's two more!"

Sure enough two other cats appeared, just as mischievous as the other one. One was a gray tabby with light eyes while the other was a cat with a mix of black and white. Where were these cats coming from?

Suddenly the cats turned around, their ears perking up. A moment passed before they suddenly took off, deeper into the woods.

"Maybe we should follow them." Wilbur commented, looking after them. He dropped his supplies, along with his guitar, leaving them at the base of the tree. The last thing he wanted was to break it while following after the cats.

"Why? Their probably wild." Techno shook his head.

"Come Tech, aren't you at least a little curious?" 

"Not really." he mumbled, glancing back towards where the cats had vanished. He was lying of course, not that he would ever admit it. He was just thankful that Wilbur was finally talking to him.

"Come on." Wilbur began racing after them, leaving no time for Techno to even attempt to stop him.

Groaning, Techno chased after him. He had a bad feeling that there was something they weren't seeing and that only freaked him out more.

They ran for a good ten minutes before Wilbur finally skidded to a stop. Looking around, he appeared to have lost the cats. Techno halted beside him, gasping for breath. "Was there a reason for the rush?" he panted, looking up the brunette.

"I lost them!" Wilbur exclaimed, kicking at the ground.

"Good, now we can head back and grab our stuff-" Suddenly he stopped, his eyes catching something unusual. There was a carving in one of the trees, definitely made with a blade. He knew those markings. "Wilbur we need to get out of here now!"

"What? But-" Suddenly there was a snap and a giant net rose upwards, carrying the two teens with it. Panic filled both boys as they tried to figure out a way to escape. But with no blades and their supplies still back at the base of the forest, they had no chance. Wilbur looked towards Techno, "What do we do?!"

"We wait. There's no way to get out of this. Trust me, I've met this team before." Techno settled back, a sigh passing his lips.

"Who is it?"

"The Dream Team."
