Tommy POV

Tommy dumped a bunch of sticks on the pile, watching the fire grow. He sighed, closing his eyes for a moment to take in supply of heat. Music filled his ears, causing him to turn to Tubbo.

Tubbo was seated beside the fire, his eyes closed as his fingers strummed the ukulele. He was completely out of the world around him, lost in his head.

Tommy smiled, watching the boy's fingers in amazement. How could he play something so perfectly? His eyes drifted to Ranboo, who was set on glaring at the boy. Tommy rolled his eyes before turning back to Tubbo.

They sat and listened for a few minutes, allowing Tubbo to express himself. It wasn't long before Tubbo stopped, allowing the last note to ring out.

Tommy smiled, sitting up. "You're really good."

Tubbo grinned, his eyes shining at the compliment. "Thanks."

"Where'd you learn to play?" the blonde questioned.

"My sisters and I learned to play together. We helped each other as went after our lessons."

Tommy watched as Tubbo's face fell. He was thinking about them again. "We'll find them." he promised, sending him a small smile.

"Don't give him false hope." Ranboo muttered under his breath.

Tommy glared at him. "I'm not giving him false hope."

"Well you don't know if they're even alive!" the brunette pointed out, adjusting his sunglasses. "You're opening the door to disappointment! We shouldn't even be helping him."

Tubbo shrunk down, looking away. Tommy felt his blood boil. "Ranboo if you don't want to help him, then you can leave."

Ranboo's eyes widened. "Tommy I'm not leaving you."

"Maybe you should. Because I'm not leaving Tubbo, so you better get used to him."

Ranboo opened his mouth to respond, but was immediately cut off by a groan. Tommy jumped up, alongside the other two.

Ranboo pulled out his pistol, silencing the groan in a second with two shots. He looked towards Tommy, his heart pounding. Before he could even speak more groans surrounded them.

"We need to leave!" Tommy shouted, panicked.

The three of them grabbed their supplies, heading away from the camp and towards the roaing river. They didn't stop running until the groans were far behind them.

Panting, Ranboo glared at the Tubbo. "I thought you said the coast was clear!"

"It was!" Tubbo protested.

"Well it must not have been if we literally-"

"Ranboo!" Tommy yelled, interrupting both of them. "What's done is done. Let it go."

Ranboo muttered something under his breath, turning away from Tubbo.

Tubbo glared at Ranboo, finally finding courage. "What is your problem with me?" he snapped, his eyes demanding an answer.

"All you do is cause problems!" Ranboo shouted, allowing his anger to fill his words. "We didn't need you before, we don't need you now."

"Guys..."

"I do not!"

"Yes you do!"

"Guys!" Tommy yelled, causing silence between the two. That's when they heard the groans. The zombies had caught up.

Ranboo raised his pistol, pulling the trigger. The weapon clicked, but no shot was fired. "Oh crap." he muttered, checking the barrel. "We're out of bullets."

Tommy's heart raced as he looked around. The only escape was the river. "We need to jump!"

"Are you crazy?!" Ranboo shook his head, turning back to the zombies.

"Come on!" the blonde led the way, jumping into the river. Immediately he was taken by the current, followed by Tubbo and a hesitant Ranboo.
