"Sorry I'm late Kirishima I went to the wrong café! I thought you wanted us to meet at..." Hiroko freezes seeing Bakugo has already arrived.
"I mean fancy seeing you two here," she nervously chuckles.
"YOU TRICKED ME INTO TUTORING YOU BOTH?" Bakugo shouts
"Dude she really needs the help," Kirishima pleads
Hiroko tries to sneak away while they argue only to have her backpack strap grabbed. She gets dragged to the table.
"Idiot! I didn't say leave. You two are such a pain," Bakugo grumbles.
Hiroko and Kirishima look at each other in shock not sure how to respond.
"Open your book or get out!" Bakugo shouts at Hiroko
"Right," she jumps pulling out her textbook.
Most of the morning continues this way. Bakugo yells instructions and lessons at them to learn. Kirishima gets more of the verbal berating because he doesn't know the material. While Hiroko keeps freezing in panic from the constant barrage of questions and information.
"Take 10 minutes and I'll be back to go over classic literature," Bakugo heads to a bathroom.
"That was intense! What the heck did you get me into here Kirishima?" Hiroko teases.
"At least you're improving I think I'm doing worse," Kirishima worries a little
Hiroko snatches his practice sheets and reads them over, "DUDE! You are excelling! Why the heck are you even needing tutoring?"
"Really? I thought I messed up the math section for sure."
"Nope you actually got all but one right! This calls for a celebration what are you drinking?"
"Iced Chai?"
"Coming right up!" Hiroko gets up to buy some drinks for the three of them.
Hiroko returns with her and Kirishima drinks and a ton of different snacks, "Where'd Kirishima go?"
"The shitty hair had to leave, his mom called," Bakugo explained.
"I see. Well would you like his drink? I'd hate it to go to waste," Hiroko offers
"What is it?"
"An iced chai. I also got some snacks," Hiroko places the assortment where Kirishima was sitting.
Bakugo takes the drink and a bag of the fire burning chips. Hiroko can smell the spices just from him opening the bag.
"Let's get started on Midsummer Nights Dream then," Bakugo states while munching on the chips.
"The course of true love never did run smooth. Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind. I must go seek some dewdrops here, and hang a pearl in every cowslip's ear," Hiroko begins reciting from memory as she digs out her notes from her bag.
"WHAT THE HELL!" Bakugo shouts breaking Hiroko's thoughts.
"What's wrong?" She flinches looking Bakugo straight in his eyes.
"You already know the entire thing why are you even trying to study?"
"I -uh. You see- it's just. Well," Hiroko stutters like she has been the whole time during the study session when she's frazzled.
"You're messing with me this whole time?" Bakugo huffs pushing his chair back to get up.
"NO! Wait!" She grabs his arm.
His eyes widen, but the action stops him from moving further.
"Please let me explain," she pleads and hesitantly sits down.
She breathes out her held breathe, "I suck at test taking, ok."
Bakugo quirks and eyebrow not being convinced.
"Oh come on I'm 17th in the class based on midterms it shouldn't be that much of a shocker," Hiroko plops back in her seat and crosses her arms defensively.
"You're being serious?" Bakugo questions searching for any signs of a lie.
"YES! And its embarrassing," Hiroko continues to pout and hides her face in her arms now on the table.
"That's stupid! How is a test scary?"
"I don't know but I choke every time I take one. Kirishima thought your intensity would help feel like a test environment," Hiroko smirks at her friend's crazy theory.
"You know what he wasn't wrong," she pulls down her mask to take a sip of drink, making her smile on full display for Bakugo.
Bakugo's eyes widen for a moment never seeing her full face with joy before. He clears his throat.
"Fine I guess I'm not mad, but it's clear you don't need help on literature the fact you started quoting it without even thinking."
"Was that a compliment," Hiroko smirks getting to distracted by the unexpected kindness that she forgets to pull up her mask.
Bakugo gets a faint pink tint on his cheeks, "Shut up and look over the algebra formula's again."
Hiroko laughs then nods in agreement. She doesn't notice some of the eyes looking at her uncovered face since they've been staring at their table and all the yelling since they arrived. Bakugo on the other hand notices right away the whispers and it's clear to him why people are starring.
"Do you think she got that recently? Why else would she hide it?"
"She could have put makeup on to cover it instead."
"Is she a villain disguising herself?"
"That is huge. What happened to her face?"
"HEY! WHY DON'T YOU MIND YOUR OWN BUISNESS! WE ARE TRYING TO STUDY HERE!" Bakugo shouts with a growl to his tone causing everyone to look away.
Hiroko laughs, "Yeah that will help the starring. They've been watching since we got here."
She pulls her mask back up not thinking anything of it. Bakugo becomes frustrated seeing her cover her face so instinctively. He growls at the thought of people staring and judging her moments ago.
"Whatever just hurry up so I can go home," Bakugo pouts.
Hiroko bites her lips to contain her laughter since Bakugo is in a rare good mood.
They finish up the study session and meet with Kirishima a few more times before the exams begin. Hiroko tries to pry about what emergency that pulled him away so suddenly he couldn't say bye. Kirishima avoids the topic only smirking at his friend, Bakugo, who proceeds to tsk at his suggesting stare.
A/N: Short one, but still fun to write. Finals begin next chapter :)
