Final Exam Fight

"So how do you think you've done so far," Hiroko asks Mina.

"I am acing this," she kicks the air feeling pumped finishing up the last written test of the finals.

"Yeah, that was way better than I expected," Sero cheers.

"I think I dazzled them with my brilliance," Aoyama shines.

The whole class seems to agree it wasn't too painful. Hiroko doesn't even want to ask Midoriya since he's always been book smart and will only make her nervous if she screwed up somewhere.

"Alright lets head to the practical exams," Ida directs everyone to get their hero costumes.

When the students arrive at the testing grounds, they are surprised to see all the teachers there.

"What's going on?"

"I don't know, maybe there is something wrong with the robots."

Nezu appears, "Oh so you found out about last years test. Yes we did use robots decided to change things up for this year's evaluation."

Groans from all the previously confident students are clearly audible.

Nezu continues to smile, unphased by the teenagers' attitudes, "Instead we will be pairing you up to battle a teacher."

"WHAT?!"

"We are all going to fail!"

"This is so unfair!"

"Come on guys we can do this. There's got to be a way to win or there's not point in testing us," Hiroko tries to cheer everyone up.

"Not necessarily," Aizawa steps forward crushing their confidence more. "We purposely setup pairings based on opposites and put the best teacher to combat those pairings."

"Shit... I mean mushrooms! Sorry, sir," Hiroko salutes him.

The teachers snicker finally getting to see the odd salute Aizawa has talked about for so long. This unfortunately only encourage the rest of the class to mimic her action.

"We are ready, sir," at full awkward saluting attention the students mentally prepare for the practical.

Aizawa sighs then begins reading off the pairings and competitor. Hiroko and Kirishima cheer to be paired up. They are matched to fight Cementous.

"This will be tougher than I thought going up against his quirk," Hiroko thinks aloud.

"WHAT! I thought you were pumped a second ago," Kirishima becomes nervous.

"I am just trying to strategize. Sorry, that was supposed to be an internal thought," Hiroko panics

Kirishima laughs, "You and Midoriya really are similar aren't you?"

Hiroko turns red, "Oh come on we aren't that alike."

"The final pair is Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo. They will be against All Might," Aizawa finishes the pairings.

Everyone is silent staring at the two rivals. Its clear how little faith the rest of the class has for them to succeed.

"Now that everyone is paired, we will begin the matches. Remember you either escape or restrain the villain to pass," Aizawa reminds the students before heading to the arena.

Hiroko and Krishima head in first. They notice their surroundings is a large amphitheater made of cement. On the far side is the exit clearly visible.

"BEGIN!" an announcement is made to start the exam with the 30minute timer running.

"This feels off," Hiroko states.
