Cavalry Game

"Alright everyone we have our next round ready for the students that placed in the top 42 spots! Those who didn't make it don't worry we still have chances for you to show off your skills," Midnight announces.

Hiroko gets tackled into a hug by Mina who also placed in the top 42, "I can't believe you got second place that is crazy good. Watch out boys we are coming for you!" Mina cheers.

"Our next game will be a cavalry battle with teams of 2-4 people. And you have points based on how you ranked. Now go find your teammates; you have 5 minutes!"

"Hey, Mina join our team," Bakugo shouts at her.

"What about Hiroko?" Mina asks.

Hiroko gives a wicked glare to Bakugo knowing exactly what he is planning, "Go ahead Mina take him up on his offer. I have another plan in mind. Just remember I'm coming for you!" Hiroko dramatically points towards Bakugo and then eyes Todoroki.

Hiroko disappears into the crowd of students to carry out her plan. It highly depends on the element of surprise, so she is being extra cautions about who she talks to.

"Alright time is up, team captains come get your headbands!" Midnight shouts as students make their way to collect headbands and finalize strategies.

"Teams get ready!" Everyone gets their riders setup and headbands in place. Midnight shouts, "Begin!"

"Die Deku!" Bakugo yells while forcing his team forward. A mob of students head right for Midoriya and his team.

Everyone starts running around trying to slow down Midoriya not watching their backs. Hiroko's team is the most mixed of members and is snatching headbands from various unassuming teams. Hiroko uses her pull quirk to get the headbands nearby and passes them to the rider.

"10 minutes left! Only the top four teams will move on to the final round. And right now there are only three high ranked teams.

"What the hell!" Bakugo shouts looking for his headband.

Realizing someone stole it he orders his team to refocus and find who did it. They turn to see Hiroko using her quirk to snag headbands. She makes eye contact and waves at them with her free hand.

"Kill her!" Bakugo yells drawing attention to Hiroko's team as well.

"You jerk we had a good thing going here," Hiroko teases as her team begins to flee from the other teams only now realizing they don't have their headbands.

Hiroko isn't worried because her team has some amazing strengths and there is still a decent number of teams after Midoriya. Bakugo goes flying at Hiroko's rider and snags the top headband.

"And you thought you could stop me? Now look at you missing your largest number of points," Bakugo mocks.

Hiroko chuckles, "Check again Bakugo. Pay attention next time to what you are aiming for." Her team takes off focusing on keeping distance.

Present Mic makes an announcement making it clear to everyone that Hiroko's team is firmly in second place from a combination of her points and all the ones they've snatched. She can't help laughing thinking how she is now taking on her brother's strategy to flee and avoid.

"We only have 2 more minutes stay on the defensive from now on and keep an extra eye on other class 1-B members," Hiroko instructs noticing a shift in the other teams eyeing them more.

Bakugo's team comes at them again but they dodge it and cause him to collide with another team. The other team loses all their points bringing Bakugo's total close to theirs.

"You losers won't survive this!" Bakugo screams readying for another attack.

"THAT IS TIME!" Present Mic shouts. "NOW TO SEE THE SCORES AND DETERMINE THE MATCH UPS FOR THE NEXT GAMES."

"THE POINTS ARE IN AND WE HAVE AN EXCITING MIX OF RESULTS!" Present Mic announces. "HERE ARE THE SCORES!"

First Place: Shoto Todorok, Tenya Ida, Momo Yaoyorozu, and Denki Kaminari

Second Place: Hiroko, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, Hitoshi Shinso, and Yuga Aoyama

Third Place: Katsuki Bakugo, Hanta Sero, Mina Ashido, and Eijirou Kirishima

Fourth Place: Izuku Midoriya, Ochako Uraraka, Fumikage Tokoyami, and Mei Hatsume

"EACH OF THE TEAMS THAT FINISHED IN THE TOP FOUR DURING THE OBSTACLE COURSE WAS ABLE TO CREATE TEAMS THAT ARE MOVING ON TO THE NEXT ROUND!" Present Mic informs

"They employed strategy and took into account the quirks that could benefit them best," Aizawa explains further.

Present Mic can't contain his excitement, "THE NEXT ROUND WILL BE ONE ON ONE COMBAT BATTLES. FULL QUIRK USE IS PERMITTED."

"We will take a short intermission to allow the participants to regroup and prepare for the next round," Aizawa speaks.

Hiroko approaches Hitoshi, "Aren't you glad you teamed up with me? You didn't even have to use your quirk in an obvious way yet." She can't help teasing him about her plan working so well in the cavalry game.

"Yeah, you did well and I appreciate not having to give up the details of my quirk so early on," Hitoshi reluctantly admits.

Hiroko becomes intense again, "Now don't think I'll go ease on you if we get paired. I will not hold back and lose this opportunity to prove myself!" She fist pumps into the air.

"Calm down I would never expect you to go easy on anyone," he says in a monotone voice.

They part ways to prepare for the upcoming matches.
