Numerous beeping noises and quick footsteps can be heard echoing through a room. Hiroko strains to listen for something distinct in the ocean of sounds. Soon things quiet down that there are only beeps.
Hiroko opens her eyes to see a small gray-haired woman looking at a chart. It takes a moment for Hiroko to recognize who she is.
"Re- Recovery Girl?" Hiroko rasps out.
A sign of relief washes over the petite nurse hearing her name called, "Hiroko I'm so glad you are awake. You had us very worried."
Hiroko tries to sit up, but exhaustion completely overtakes her body.
"Don't try to move. I had to use a lot of your own energy to heal you to even this state," the nurse explains.
Hiroko gives a weak laugh, "Guess we Midoriyas are rather big thorns in your side."
The nurse smiles hearing the girl have a sense a humor after such a traumatic event, physically and mentally, "You are but at least yours aren't self-inflicted. Try to rest you are going to need your strength to start physical therapy."
An intense sadness overtakes Hiroko's expression, "How bad is it?"
"You've been out for two days, your femur was shattered, and after the surgery your nerves didn't respond quiet as well as I hoped. But if you focus on your recovery, you shouldn't see any lasting effects," the nurse gives her a reassuring pat on the shoulder then heads for the door.
"Recovery Girl?" Hiroko calls out.
The nurse hums in response.
"Can you send an officer in I think I should give my statement sooner than later. Also if it can be that one that's friends with All Might," Hiroko requests watching the nurse give her a knowing smile before leaving.
Not shortly after an officer dressed casually comes into Hiroko's room.
"Hello Ms. Midoriya. You asked to see me?"
Its obvious Officer Tsukauchi is wary of her asking for him specifically and so shortly after waking up too.
"Hiroko please. But yes, I did. It's about the kidnapping and..."
"You don't need to rush the statement. We can wait until you are better," he tries to reason.
"NO! No we can't wait. That's why I asked for you. I need to tell you about All for One and Blacksmith," Hiroko doesn't try to hide her anger.
"Ok you have my attention," he sits down next to her. "How do you know All for One and Blacksmith? They are some of the most dangerous international villains, but they aren't known in many circles."
Hiroko takes a breath, "All for One has been a long-time 'business' associate of Blacksmith. And I'm the daughter of Blacksmith."
Hiroko pauses not daring to look Tsukauchi in the eye, "Izuku and my mother don't know. She divorced him shortly after we left Japan and neither of them asked about him when I wrote, so I doubt they know."
"Why did you leave with him?"
"The raw power of my fire-quirk, his quirk was too much for others to try and help. So, he took me with him to train and gain control. The problem is I started getting associated with him when he had business. It's got to be hard hiding a young girl with a nasty face scar and flames coming from her when she gets angry," Hiroko chuckles thinking back on the few times she snuck into his meetings when younger.
"He seems to care about you greatly."
"He did, does. But he likes his work as an undercover operative way more."
