A/N : Takes place during book 1, in between chapters 8 and 9.

It was Percy's last night in cabin eleven.

A lot had happened already. His father had actually sent him a sign, but it wasn't one that anyone outside of Chiron or Annabeth had expected. No, he was Poseidon's son, meaning that Poseidon had broken his little agreement with his brothers. It also meant that things would be a lot harder for Percy. Sure, monsters would go after any Half Blood but it was far worse for children of the Big Three. He couldn't help but dwell on the story of Zeus' daughter who laid to rest at the top of the hill.

After capture the flag, everyone had gone back to their cabins, still reeling from the new information. Percy would reportedly be moved to Poseidon's cabin the next day, and he was grateful to not have to adjust to a new place on top of everything else that had just happened. Plus, it meant that he could spend one last night in cabin eleven and the few friends he made there. A change had happened, sure. But, for now at least, he could still pretend he was just a Hermes kid.

"Percy, come over here" Luke called, so Percy walked over to the corner where the older boy was holding a deck of cards. "I'm no good at cards, if that's what you called me over for" Percy said, and he couldn't hide the disappointment in his voice. "Just something I fidget with" Luke replied, running his thumb over the edge of the box. Percy couldn't tell whether or not he was lying, but he was too tired to care either way.

"Why so blue, Percy?" Luke asked after an awkward moment of silence. "That's just it" Percy replied. "I am blue. Literally. I am Poseidon's son" he stated blankly and cringed as he saw Luke flinch slightly. "Yes, you are, but why are you so down about it?" Luke asked, genuinely curious. To him, being Big Three sounded like paradise. None of them ever fucked around in the human world (well, they hadn't) so a Big Three kid would get an entire cabin to themself. Not to mention that Big Three kids were way more powerful than a Hermes kid.

"I was just settling in here!" Percy replied, a bit to loudly. He blushed in embarrassment as a few other kids in the cabin shot him dirty looks that just screamed Shut the fuck up, I'm trying to sleep. "Sorry" Percy mumbled to them, to which everyone went back to whatever they were doing. "You wanna continue this conversation outside?" Luke asked as he stood up and went to the door. Percy nodded and followed.

"I get that this is gonna be a bit of a sharp change" Luke said gently as the young demigod stepped out of the cabin. "And, you just settled in too. It's gonna be hard, not gonna lie" he continued and Percy felt a sting in his chest. If Luke was trying to make him feel better, he was severely failing. "But..." he continued. "It's for the better in the long run. You know who your father is now, so your answers will find you. Plus, it's better to know you're in the Big Three rather than live in ignorance"

"I... Guess that makes sense?" Percy replied with some uncertainty that made the older boy chuckle. "And, either way, you still have friends here" Luke gestured to cabin eleven. "Sure, you may not be a Hermes kid, but you captured a flag in our honor" he continued. "And you'll still have your girlfriend and the satyr" he added with a small smirk. "Annabeth is not my girlfriend!" Percy replied, a bit exasperated. "Sure, buddy" Luke replied, a bit unconvinced. "Either way, just know you don't have to be alone in this.

"Yeah..." Percy said, processing what Luke had just told him. "Thanks, Luke"
