Chapter Jay
When he saw Reggie a sentiment of fear came over Jay , he was surrounded by zombies , he didn't know how many zombies the alpha had left with but a good number came back , maybe he didn't attack the town after all , it didn't matter he was alone .Reggie looked around and saw him , he growled but the zombies weren't attacking , guess Jesus was right, they were hard to control. Reggie was looking around , he seemed surprised ,that they weren't obeying .He was probably use to more obedient subject . He felt bad for Reggie now , Jay didn't know why .Maybe it was because Reggie finally understood that he was truly alone , maybe because in the end Jesus was to blame for everything , the once positive leader had changed . He couldn't blame Jesus he would have done the same thing, Jay wondered if theyre was ever someone in his previous life he would have done that for .Jesus did it for his sister , Jay tried to remember if he had a family , it was no use his time before meeting Sam was blurry ,speaking of her, it was the first time they were separated and of course it was the time where he needed her the most . Reggie tried once again but this time the zombies werent paying attention . This wasn't good , they were hard but controllable .The third time the zombie were advancing toward him, slowly but they were making progress
-I told you , I wouldn't abandon you , these omega are worth defending , we loose you , we loose all hope , those zombie will go after the omega first ,but then i am next , we need you alpha , we needed you before , we need you now , said a familiar voice
Jay turned around it was no other than Samantha, she was loyal to the core and she wasn't alone she had succeeded in bringing all the omega , for a beta , she sure was strong . It didn't matter anymore alpha , beta, omega , they were all so focused on those ranks , they had forgotten what was the point of this town , to live as best as they possibly could regardless of their condition . They marched to meet Reggie and the zombies . They were a lot more people on Justin side , but the zombies were merciless .
-How did you get out , ask Reggie
The question surprised Jay , he was focus on him , but nearly the whole town was standing against him , did he really believe, in ranks that much , a second thought came to Jay a much scarier one , he was the only obstacle stopping Reggie from is dictatorship , even if he was he the only that would die it would be enough , no he could think he could get the zombie to obey that much. Jay was torn , he knew only one alpha could come out of this fight alive , it was too late for Reggie . If he was to survive , he would bring zombies once again and this whole scene would happen once again.
-I asked you a question, said Reggie before hitting him
The blow didn't hurt , but the act was the same , Samantha was growling behind him, the omega were in attack mode , the zombies were getting aggressive .It was a question of mere seconds . He saw a beta on his opponent side move and push Reggie, another ally ,thought Jay when he heard a loud noise . Then the beta came down , it was dead , both Reggie and Jay look at were the sound had come , Jay recognize the old man and the small girl. They were accompanied by a old man and a young fatter one , the fatter one was familiar , it was odd they had met before , it was the same feeling as with the old man
-Attack them , you can now feast ! growled Reggie
-On the ground , they will not attack if we don't , growled Jay
Reggie team were on the move and his went to the ground . Reggie team had the disadvantage they were slow, a lot of noise came and he saw zombie after zombie falling to the ground . It was a scary scene , how ironic that the prey had become predator. He heard a louder sound and saw Reggie falling to the ground , it was reassuring , truth was in a infected fight the zombie would have won .When all the zombie were down ,he saw the non-infected get closer , the sun was hurting his eyes . They stopped approaching , and the young fat man started to talk ,looking at him , is word were loud and blurry, but he was clearly talking to him, they definitely had met before the apocalypse , they might even have at one point been close, it was all so blurry , then the old man came , he looked at Jay smiling , it was the same feeling he had just felt , it was someone he knew for sure , had they ever been close , his head hurted , the answer was in there , it was foggy but somewhere in here was the answer to his every question. Suddenly they smiled and left , the man he didn't know, raise an object toward him , the same object which produce the sound the same object they had pointed at the zombie , he knew the object was danger , he was planning to hurt him . It was terrible , his whole concept , no Jesus foundation was , they will not hurt us if we don't hurt them. This man was gonna destroy everything , a sound was produce, when the old man , the non-infected move, Jay heard the sound and saw the man fall to the ground , he had done the same thing ,the beta had done . He had sacrifice himself for an infected , there was a chance at peace and it was all thanks to this man . A second sound rang and the man who produce the first sound fell to the ground . He saw the small girl fall to the ground some tears was flowing , her and the old man were talking together , he couldnt tell what was going on , the old man reached the girl face and wipe the water , this motion was familiar .Then the familiar man looked at him and send sound to him before the girl fell on him . As their eyes crossed , something happen Jay was hit by a number of memories, his heard started to hurt a bunch of image came to him . He remembered now his name was Justin , he was a musician , he grew up with two sister on a farm , the young man was his bestfriend ,he remember the injection it was the cause of all of this , then he looked back at the man . The man who had saved him , the man who had made the peace between the infected and the non-infected possible , the man who had died for it . That man was his father and his last word had been I love you . Justin crawled to him and put his forehead on his father forehead , growling in pain.
