The day of the script reading came and it's also the day Minju gets to meet all the other casts.
The two quickly got dressed early in the morning with the sun already brilliantly hanging up in the sky. They then made their way towards a van that will be fetching them to the entertainment company's building. Along the way, she met a few other actresses who were staying in the same hotel. They were all pretty nice people and Minju is sure everything will be just fine. Most of them are from Japan, some from America, Spain and so on since they'll be doing a sort of international school romance kinda drama.
Soon, they all reached the building, swiftly getting off and making their way to the room where they'll be doing the script reading. There'll be 5 main characters, Gyuri and another person will be the protagonist while Minju and one other girl and guy will be the second lead. Like a group of friends.
Once Minju stepped into the room, her jaw dropped when she sees who was sitting down on one of the swivel chairs. She slowly made her way in, trailing behind Gyuri, and sat down beside her. The guy's eyes never left her and Minju thought, just how small can the world be.
It's not him right? Nah...I'm pretty sure he doesn't look like this.
She thought to herself while the director clapped for their attention.
"Okay, hello everyone. As you can see we have actresses and actors from around the world here. Why not we take this time to introduce ourselves?" the director said while everyone nodded.
"Hi everyone! I'm Jang Gyuri and I'm from Boston, born in Korea. I'll be playing Stella Hwang." She introduced while smiling sweetly and waving subtly. They have a translator there, making it a little easier to communicate. Minju then looked up when she heard Gyuri finishing.
"Ah! Hello everyone, I'm Kim Minju and I'm from Korea. I'll be playing Choi Soyeon for this drama." She smiled while the guy opposite her was smiling at her, Minju not knowing why he's smiling like this.
"Hello! I'm Takahashi Juri! I'm from Japan and I'll be playing Sato Minami!" She said cheerfully while clapping excitedly. It was then the guys turn to introduce themselves.
"Hi, I'm Choi Eugene, I was born in America but I have a Korean father, explains my surname...and I'll be playing Jo Haneul." Minju's ears perked up when she heard his name, thinking how similar it sounded to Yujin's name. What's funny was that she imagined that would probably be Yujin's name if she were Yena's sibling.
The time was then handed to the guy who has been eyeing Minju since she stepped in. Minju gulped, praying that it isn't who she thinks it is.
"Hi everyone, I'm Sunwoo, Kim Sunwoo. I'm from Korea, and I'll be playing Kang Dohyeon for this drama." Minju froze on her seat when she heard his name, not really sure whether it's really him but it seems like it—the person who was kinda obsessed over her in high school even if she told him she wasn't really into guys.
                              He's the main lead, right?
Minju thought while the writer clapped her hands. "I see it'll be very lively for you guys to work together..." She then went on to brief a little. "...The second lead would be Kim Minju-ssi and Kim Sunwoo-ssi..."
"What?" Minju suddenly uttered softly which earned Gyuri's attention. "Why?" She asked while Minju shook her head.
This can't be...ah shit, why him??
She cursed in her head while they proceeded on with the script reading. It wasn't as bad as she thought, just some normal teenage romance shit going on which she isn't really that affected. What's affecting her more is that the person she'll be as you know "ending up" with would be him and it's just killing her, thinking what the director would make them do during the actual shoot. As far as she knows, sometimes the scenes are impromptu...
