Without realizing it, the school year ended. The Third Years graduated and we will be moving in the next level after 2 months of vacation.

I started applying for different summer jobs and luckily, aside from the cafe, I have been accepted to work under a publication editor.

Sasaki Haibara, or Saki-san as he prefer, is a regular customer in the cafe. My manager introduced us saying that I am outstanding when it comes to work quality and intelligence. Of course compliments are good but, I have to prove it as well.

This summer, I'll be working from 8am to 2pm for Saki-san, and 3pm to 8pm in the cafe.
They definitely disagree with the idea, but I insist so they let me work for them in that condition.

Saki-san demanded to give me Fridays as day off and so my manager, Nowa-san, also insisted to give me the day off, too.

It's been a month and half already. I have been used to the work schedule. Kenma adjusted well with my work and we still manage to spend time together during our day offs.

Kenma is attending a computer software courses (with pay of course) and will have to render his services once he graduate in High School, he agreed because he is so fond of technologies and they said Kenma would surely be an asset.

We oftentimes hang out in each other's apartment. We order pizzas and fast foods to enjoy our simple dates. We love each moment. I love him... He's moody yet very understanding...

Speaking of pizzas, Noya's been working with Asahi at a pizzeria.

And knowing him, he probably clings over Asahi every time. Oh.. I can really imagine Asahi's and Noya's expression.

Every time, I think about it, I chuckle to myself. 🤣

"Akaashi? Hey, are you alright? You're spacing out" Sugawara asked. He is a good friend of mine. We both work here in the cafe and we usually talk about books and stuff. He's a year older, but have to stopped studying to support his ill mother.

"I.. Yeah, Suga.. I am... I just felt like... It's too hot today" I explained.

"Well, drink a lot of water, Akaashi. It's very difficult to be sick and be dehydrated."

"Yes. Thank you, Sugawara" I slightly smiled.

He smiled worriedly..

"I know you wanted to earn money this summer, but you must always take good care of yourself, too, okay?"

I nodded as I continued cleaning the table near the glass door at the entrance of the shop...

I just noticed, that Kōtarō Bokuto and his friends were usually hanging out around here (not that I care) and more than often, I will be catching Bokuto-san staring at me. But I don't like to make a big fuss about it, maybe he's just curious or something..

~7:55pm~
5 more minutes and my shift is over. I went to the locker room to change but I could really feel my breathing slowing and getting heavier.

I leaned on the doorframe to support myself.. What is going on?

I felt an overwhelming dizziness engulfing me... I can't breathe properly...

I gasp for air, but it's getting difficult... It's like I'm drowning with no water.

I hold on the doorknob just as my body slowly slipped down to the floor.

I try to breathe, but it's getting difficult each time... My sweat is cold and are rolling down on my face.

I saw Suga running to me, and the next second, I am leaning on his shoulder...

"Akaashi.. hey, Akaashi... Nowa-san!!! Kimiko-san! Help... Akaashi is-"

Then darkness....
