Chapter 55

It's been few weeks now since his birthday, he's slowly getting better... I always make sure to shower him with time and effort, though privately still.

~Flashback~
That night, as he curled up in his futon as we all sleep in the living room of Noya and Asahi's abode, I sat up and heard him whimpering.

"Akaashi... What's wrong?" I looked at him as he tightly hugged the pillow.

"I'm... I'm okay, Bokuto-san.. I am... I am just so happy spending time with all of my friends... especially that I spent it with you..." he said as he buried his face on the pillow he is hugging, his back facing me.

"You can tell me anything, Kaashi... I am not forcing you though, I just want you to know that I am here for you ... always because I love you more than the world..."

He slowly faced me with tears in his eyes. I wiped his tears with my thumb . I lay down on my futon next to him without removing my hand in his cheek. I smiled at him.

"Bokuto-san ... can you... can you give me a hug?"

Shocked, I smiled bigger.
"Of course, Kaashi"

He is crying under the embrace. I started rubbing my hands in his back and he pulled his head away a little.

He then told me everything about what had happened.

I just listened to everything. Then he gazed at me like he is waiting for me to say something.

"I think she wanted to talk to you so desperately that she done that... But, I just hope it doesn't happen again... it's bad for my heart worrying so much, you know, Kaashi?!"

He smiled a little at my comment.
"Yeah... But Bokuto-san... I still don't want to see her or talk to her... It just hurts... so badly inside me..."

"Well, nobody's forcing you to do that, especially not her. It will always takes time, Kaashi..." I said as I kissed him.

"You are right... You sounded so mature right now, Bokuto-san..." he commented and smiled.

"I love you, Keiji.. I love you so much... The hurdles are still there but I'll hold your hands forever... I promised that."

His eyes sparkled with thousand stars.. His eyes are so beautiful. Akaashi Keiji is a beautiful person..

"I love you, Kōtarō... I forever will."

~END OF FLASHBACK~

We spent Christmas eve together as my father requested to see him. Dad never spoke a word to Akaashi which I find weird, but he got that intense look at me... I am waiting for him to at least say something... but it never came.

He probably realized everything between me and Akaashi but he keeps quiet and commented nothing on it... I really got a very bad feeling about this... I'll protect Akaashi... I will.... No matter what it takes, I'll be with him!

In the 25th, Kaashi and I spent the day at his apartment.

It was amazing and surprising.
There's a knock in the door after the other.

The living room of his apartment is filled with boxes. The couch, the chair, the table... Everywhere you look, there are gifts steadily sitting on them.

"You are so loved, Kaashi..." I smiled as I hugged him from behind.

"I am... I don't think... there.. are people.. who would love me... this way..." he said silently crying.

I smiled. He grew up alone but he met few people who considers him as family.

"I am so lucky... to have friends... I am lucky to have you, Kōtarō..." he turned around, faced me, and kissed me..
