Unexpected

Chapter 17

We left the mall with plenty of bags in our hands. I managed to sneak away and buy Maya a gold necklace with a ruby pendent that came with matching earrings.

Peyton got numbers from a few guys but she didn't seem to be interested in any of them.

Maya decided to drive this time I didn't think she could handle being in close proximity with me after our little quickie in the bathroom.

The thought made me laugh. We had made it home I was happy because my feet were killing me from walking all around the mall.

I was the first one in the house I checked my phone for the time it was 7:30. I can't believe that we spent about 4 hours at the mall.

I guess the saying, "Shop til' you drop" wasn't an understatement after all.

We all ran up stairs I threw my bags on the floor then did the same with my body but instead onto my bed.

I layed there just observing Maya and Peyton while they tried on all of their new clothes.

I felt myself drifting away I tried my hardest to keep the sleep away, but I was a failure.

I woke up and checked my phone to my surprise it was 9:15. Damn I must have been really tired.

I got up and made my way downstairs I saw Payton lounging on the couch watching t.v. she was really into it what she was watching.

"Hey where's Maya?"

She didn't even look in my direction

"Umm I don't know she said she'd be back soon"

"And how long ago was that?"

"I'd say about 15 minutes ago"

I didn't say anything after that. I decided that I'd just watch t.v. with Peyton, but I went into the kitchen and popped some popcorn first.

Everything was pretty chill at the moment Peyton had her head on my shoulder and I was eating my popcorn.

What happened next shocked the hell out of me. Peyton just kissed me I didn't know what to do I was frozen from shock.

Boy did Peyton have good timing because Maya had just walked in.

She was holding a bag in her hand but quickly dropped it to the floor.

I quickly pushed Peyton away. Maya came storming toward us and bitch slapped Peyton.

Peyton looked shocked holding her hand to her cheek as if she didn't see it coming. Soon she came to her senses and pushed Maya.

Then she pounced onto her like a lion would do to its prey. I watched as they rolled all over my living room.

Then I thought to myself

"So much for going out"

Finally I pulled them away from eachother pushing them in different corners.

I walked to Maya before I could open my mouth she slapped me

"Damn! What is wrong with you?".

"What's wrong with me? I just walked in on my girlfriend kissing her supposed to be friend and you have the nerve to ask what's wrong with me?"

she lifted her hand up to slap me again but before she could connect her hand with my face I grabbed her wrist.

"Calm down and let me explain"

She pulled away from my grip

"Please enlighten me"

she said looking over at Peyton

"Well we were just watching t.v next thing I know she kissed me. I was shocked so I just froze up then you walked in. It meant nothing honestly"

"It meant nothing to you, but what about the slut I'm sure it meant the world to her. Isn't that right Peyton?"

"Yeah that's right"

Peyton said it with great pride

I wished she didn't say that.
