Unexpected

Chapter 22

There she was standing in front of me holding my hands to stop me from beating her ass. Because at this point I trusted no one and who could blame me.

"Calm down Eva damn I'm here to help you, okay"

"Help me? Seriously where were you lets see like three weeks ago Peyton. First you kiss me then leave and now this?"

"Listen I had no idea about this okay believe me. I went back to your house that night and you weren't there. I knew something was wrong because the door was cracked open. I walked in and saw Ben he ran when he saw me"

"Okay what's your point that explains nothing. I was kidnapped Peyton KIDNAPPED! & wait here comes the good part my parents are fucking dead okay D-E-A-D"

I started crying

I felt Peyton wrap her arms around me

"Get the hell off of me okay. I don't need your sympathy for all I know you could be apart of this damn thing too"

she pulled away quickly and turned away so I could only see her back.

"You know Eva everyone has secrets some deeper then others. Secrets that dig at our soul every minute that we are alive"

I could see her pulling something out of her pocket. I had a sickening feeling in my stomach something wasn't right at all.

She turned around I could see tears on her cheeks but she wiped them away with the sleeve of her hoodie. She stepped closer to me our faces were literally inches apart. I could hear her heartbeat coming up her throat we we're that close.

I went to push her away but she grabbed my hands before I could even blink

"Peyton let me go your hurting me"

she just smiled

"Boy I'm having deja vu Jess said those exact same words once"

I felt my entire body go numb it felt like I had just got out of an ice bath. A million and one thoughts rushed to my mind.

"What did you do Peyton?"

She pulled out a switchblade from her pocket and put it to my neck

"See now if I tell you I'll have to kill you too"
