Unexpected

Chapter 18

"I suspected that you had a thing for Eva, but I gave you the benefit of the doubt. Even though I've only known you for a few days I thought we had a bond, but obviously you broke that quickly"

Maya walked out of the house and slammed the door.

I thought that it would have come off its hinges. Peyton and I both stood there in complete utter silence.

Soon Peyton's sobs changed that the tears fell slowly from her eyes and slid down her pink puffy cheeks she wiped them away with the sleeve of her shirt.

I didn't know what to do usually I'd run over to her and tell her everything will be okay, but this time things were different.

She quickly ran out the door I had to follow behind her.

"Peyton! , Peyton wait..."

But she just kept running.

Everything was fine we were all just laughing together a few hours earlier enjoying each others company, and in just a few mintutes that all changed.

I went inside the house and closed the door. Man so much had happened in one day I needed a shower.

I walked upstairs seeing all the bags of clothes laying on the floor made matters worst.

I picked them all up and pushed them underneath my bed "Out of sight, out of mind" is what I thought.

I quickly stripped down to nothing and hopped in the shower. The water always eased my mind I could just forget everything for those few moments in the shower.

As I started to wash myself I heard the door open from downstairs

"Wait did I lock the door when I came in? Oh shit"

I thought I quickly turned off the water and pulled the shower curtain back

"Hello, hello? who's there?"

I didn't get a response so I stepped out of the tub and wrapped my towel around my body.

I tippy toed to the door and opened it slowly I could feel the water from my hair dripping onto the carpet.

Someone was coming up the stairs it was apparent that they were trying to be discrete about it.

I could hear each step creak as they came closer. I closed the door and locked it, I turned off the lights and held the door knob tightly.

They finally made it up upstairs I could hear the sound of their movement as they maneuvered around my room.

I was terrified my body began shaking and I was literally going to piss on myself.

I decided that if I made a run for it maybe I could make it downstairs in time to call the police or atleast run over to Maya's.

I waited a few mintutes then I unlocked the door slowly, I stormed out of the bathroom not once looking back I just kept running.

Boy I never felt my legs move this fast in my life.
