Unexpected

Chapter 29

Speeding down the highway my chest wouldn't stop pumping up and down.

"Whoooo! I can't believe we just did that!"

Maya basically spoke each word inbetween breaths both of her hands were on the steering wheel.

"There is nothing like a little adventure in life sweetheart"

she continued smiling and didn't remove her eyes from the road I stuck my head out of the window now I see why dogs always do it.

It was 6:30 and the sun would be setting soon. Pulling out my phone I started searching for beaches. I found one that was about 20 minutes from where we were.

"How about we go to the beach?"

"Oh I don't mind but remember what happened last time?"

She turned to glance me over I laughed

"Yeah of course that's where you attacked my lips I believe"

"Mhm is that so well they won't be attacked ever again."

This girl I loved her humor.

I was awaken to sirens with red and blue flashing lights. I thought to myself no way did we get into a car accident? I jumped out of my seat only to see a officer knocking on the window of the driver's side.

Maya pulled down the window

"Excuse me, can both of you step out of the vehicle please"

we did as he asked and stepped out

"Do you guys now why I stopped you?"

Maya looked scared she was panicking so I stepped in

"For speeding sir?"

"More like racing you were doing 60 in a 40 zone. So I'm going to have to issue a ticket."

I saw Maya sigh in relief it was funny because I just realized that she was probably thinking he pulled us over because of the diner dash.

"Can I get your license and registration please?"

Maya handed him her license and open the dashboard to pull out the registration, but before she could even hand it over he handed her back her license.

"Looks like its your lucky day. I just received a very important dispatch so I'm letting you off with a warning, but please just drive the limit."

"Wow well thank you sir so much"

He got back on his motorcycle and sped off with the siren going

"Boy that was a close call"

"I know right do you still want to go to the beach?" Maya looked like she was thinking then finally she responded

"No lets just go find a hotel or something"

"Okay sounds like a plan, so how about I drive this time"

she rolled her eyes and walked over to the passenger side.

I got in and started driving I was pretty tired it had been a long but very eventful day. So now it was really dark out and it was only 7:30.

I was just hoping that a hotel would show up. My wish was granted I saw the big sign shining brightly it read "Motel 6".

I pulled in and parked the car. I had to shake Maya like 50 times just to actually get her up.

"Wake UP! Wake up!"

She jumped up with drool coming from her mouth

"Okay, okay I'm up"

She fell back asleep so I had to walk out of the car and literally throw her over my shoulder. When I reached the office the woman behind the desk looked shocked to see anyone.

I put Maya down in a chair and the lady just watched

"Hi can I get a room for tonight?"

"Yes, yes please just sign here and give me a payment of $50"

she handed me the clipboard and I started filling the information out I handed it back to her with the money. She handed me the key with a big smile on her face.

Maya was half asleep still so I had to grab her by the hand dragging her behind me. I walked down the hall looking for room '207'. Hmm lets see '205', '206', and yes finally '207'.

I put the key into the lock and opened the door. It wasn't some fancy 5 star hotel but it would do. The bed was neatly done with a mint on each pillow, there was a mini fridge by the bed. I led Maya to the bed and made my way to the bathroom.

It was nice I liked it. I walked back out only to find the girl that I left sleeping earlier rumaging through thr fridge like a cave woman. I walked up and wrapped my arms around her

"Hey what are you doing?"

I turned her around and kissed her with so much passion I could tell that she was shocked with it all but she soon went with the flow.

"Look after everything that's happend I can say that you were the one good thing I got out of it all Maya just know that."

She quickly wrapped her arms around my neck and I didn't want to let her go.

Finally we had settled in Maya started racing out of her clothes

"Last one in is a rotten egg"

I knew what this meant I took off my clothes and followed behind.

I turned on the water and let it run for awhile

"What are you doing?"

"You'll see"

Finally the water filled up the tub half way and I squeezed body wash into it. I mixed the water around and bubbles soon formed.

I got in and saw that Maya was still just watching

"Well are you doing to get in?"

She stepped in and got between my legs. She layed her head and my chest and I began to wash her body.

"You know we've never really talked, talked if you know what I mean. Like I don't know enough about you Maya"

she flicked water in my face

"I think we're a little past the 'get to know you' stage"

I pushed her

"Yeah I know but still lets have a good conversation no running away or interruptions"

"Okay Eva there is some stuff you don't know about me"

once I heard those words it only reminded me of Peyton and Ben they both said the same thing before basically throwing bombs in my face.

"The reason why I moved here is because of my dad. You know my parents have been divorced for 2 years now because my dad was an alcoholic and abusive. Eva he was the reason I came to your house battered up that day, it was because of my wonderful dad"

I couldn't believe it that day she had told me that she just fell down the stairs I knew it was a lie but I didn't push it enough.

"Wow I really don't know what to say"

"I don't expect you to Eva you listening is enough for me"

I pulled her in closer and began kissing on her neck. She turned facing me gazing into my eyes. Once again I found myself lost in those beautiful eyes of hers. Our lips moved in sync never once losing rhythm. I could feel her tongue sneaking its way into my mouth I stopped her

"What happened to my lips never being attacked again?"

She just shook her head and pushed her lips back against mine.
