Unexpected

Chapter 38

They came in closer and I couldn't believe what I saw. It was hard to even recongize the girl that I came to love so much. Her face was dripping in blood and was beaten up badly. Standing on her two feet seemed impossible for her to do my heart ached.

Seeing her in such a state made me want to vomit it. Peyton was holding her by the neck with a gun pointed to her head.

"Well nice of you to join the party Eva. See I sent people to get you that's how much I wanted you here"

I gritted my teeth together trying so hard not to bash her face in. She was ice cold no emotion just bitterness, and pure evil. We always put in our mind that we know someone well, but then finally you see the real them and its horrifying.

I looked Maya over carefully and couldn't help but cry for her I could only imagine the pain that she was feeling at the moment.

"Oh see well your girlfriend here she wasn't very cooperative so I had to give her a make over"

I began rushing towards her but stopped once I saw her finger move to the trigger

"Woah, woah slow down there trackstar one bad move and I blow your girl's mind, and not in a good way either"

She winked at me I was disgusted by her words if looks could kill she would be dead. I needed to distract her fast

"Why did you kill Jake Peyton? And don't play dumb because I know it was you"

She shook her head in amusement

"You figured that one out without any clues I'm proud of you really"

"Cut the bullshit and just tell me why"

I saw a glint in her eye she was more then excited to explain why she murdered a kid who probably did nothing to her.

"Well see Jake was my partner you know and I trusted him, but I learned that he had betrayed me and well no one crosses me over and live to tell the tale"

Wait he was her partner? So he really knew my name not from my necklace but from the fact that he helped Peyton in my first kidnapping.

"Oh yeah I see your trying to wrap your pretty little head around it let me assist you. Jake was the one who took you to the hospital. The bastard was suppose to kill you but no he decided to play hero instead and for that he died"

My mind was spinning in all directions I've wondered for so long who the person was that basically saved my life and I just learned who and it only made me sick.

"What do you want from me Peyton huh? I don't get why your going through all of this killing people. What's the purpose of it all?"

Her body lanuage changed she shifted all of her weight to one side staring at me. She fixed her eyes onto Maya then back to me then she shook her head

"No one seems to understand so many whys but not enough why nots. Think about it the one person that I loved ripped my heart out and stomped on it. I no longer feel pain I'm just an emotional bitch Eva, and when you were there for me I thought 'Maybe this girl would change it all, and make feel alive again' but no you did exactly what Jess did humiliate me. So now I'm emotionless wanting you to feel the pain that I felt for so long, and that made me cry myself to sleep every night. I have to live with knowing that I'm a cold blood murderer an animal with no conscious because I feel no remorse or guilt. I hope that answers your question entirely"

I processed all of her words bit by bit and then it hit me that she was in fact sick. Her perception of life was screwed up she needed help because mentally she was fucked up.

At this moment I made a decison one that I later would regret but in life there is always death and sometimes in order for things to be right you have to make sacrifces.

I ran towards Peyton without thinking twice before I could reach her the gun went off she had pulled the trigger and everything instantly went in slow motion.

In my mind everything had slowed down and the gun shot echoed throughout the room bouncing off of the walls and hitting my ears like a whirlwind.

I watched Maya's lifeless body drop to the ground making a loud thud.
