I sat in class literally blocking everything out. Go to the police tell them about Jake and the note is what replayed in my mind like a broken record.

"Eva, Eva, EVA!"

I saw Ms.Jenkins and the entire class staring at me

"Yes?"

"Can you please tell the class

what happened during the french revolution."

"Um the french went into debt after helping in the American revolution and the lower class french people didn't feel as if they were being treated fairly?"

"A little vague but you touched on important details"

she turned back around facing the board and began writing something that I could care less about. I had dived back into my pool of thoughts that deserved my full attention honestly.

Everyone in the class quickly got up and rushed out the door meaning that the bell had rung. I quickly shoved everything in my bag and followed everyone out.

Before I could leave Ms.Jenkins tapped me on the shoulder

"Um Eva can we talk?"

I turned around "Sure Ms.J"

"Well I know about happened and I'm so sorry for the lost of your parents. I know words can't make things better but just know I'm here for you"

"Well thank you I'll keep that in mind um may I leave now?"

She still had a concerned look plastered on her face. She just pointed towards the door and so I left.

I had to find Maya and talk to her about the note and see what she wanted to do. I walked over to her locker and found her standing in front of it. I placed my hand on her shoulder and she spazzed out.

Punching me in the face

"Wow nice right hook there"

I held my jaw wincing in the little pain that I did feel. She began to cry and I just pulled her in closer hugging her.

"Look I know this is all scary but it'll get better I promise okay"

I placed my palm on the side of her face and kissed her forehead.

"I'm sorry about the punch forgive me?"

I laughed "Its okay 'Rocky' I'll live hopefully I don't get a black eye."

Finally school was over thank God one more hour and I would have lost the bit of my mind I had left.

I leaned against the car waiting for Maya to come out I checked my watch it was 3:10 and I was ready to go.

After waiting an additional 5 minutes I could see her walking towards me.

"Well nice of you to show up missy."

I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer to my body with her back to me.

"So why are you almost 10 minutes late?"

"Well your little friend 'Brooke' decided to talk to me"

"Really what did she tell you?"

I placed a kiss on her neck and she moved away from me

"Well she told me about you two basically"

I could see the anger in her eyes

"Look just get in the car"

"No I'd rather talk here I want witnesses"

I took a deep breath and let out a sigh

"So we hooked up a few times it meant nothing"

"Nothing just nothing? You told me that you had never been with a girl before how I confused you in the beginning right? But yet you hooked up with her and didn't think to tell me."

I didn't know what to say only because she was right I had "hooked up" with girls before but it was when I was drunk. It didn't mean anything to me the next morning I'd wake up not remembering anything.

"Look I didn't tell you because it didn't matter I didn't have feelings for her. When I met you it was different okay I felt things that I hadn't felt before and honestly it scared me. Your a girl I never had those feelings for a girl before yeah I made out with girls before but when I kissed you I felt a spark and that's what confused me"

"So you didn't feel nothing with her?"

I closed the space between us

"No nothing at all just ignore Brooke she has issues"

she looked at me with those beautiful hazel eyes and finally I saw a smile

"But if she ever comes to me again I'm giving her a black eye for sure."
