Chapter 18 The Yagi's dilema

After having played an encore for D.va's youtube channel she had left after asking delta for them to join as musical guests they agreed to it.

Izuku had hopped into the shower after the jam session but then his mind drifted to back home. He personally wasn't homesick  but the thoughts of what his family were up to had occupied his mind.

At the Yagi household

It seemed like a regular Inko woke up and made breakfast for the family once the aroma of delicious food entered the nostrils of Toshinori and Izuna they quickly rushed downstairs for breakfast.

Inko: Goodmorning you two hope you enjoy breakfast but we're missing Izuku.

Toshi: Thats right lets wait for five minutes before we wake him for breakfast.

After 5 minutes Toshi and Izuna were occupied with a conversation about the UA entrance exams but they didn't notice Inko left to wake Izuku. As Inko approached the attic door she pulled it down and made her way to Izuku's room "Honey time for breakfast " she said in a cheerful tone  but upon walking toward his bed she notice he wasnt there. Before she panicked she checked all over his room then remembered that he went to Overwatch. To confirm her theory she checked the closet and saw no articles of clothes. She went to the bed and sat down contemplating her stupidity "Honey/Mom!?" Inko heard the voices of Toshi and Izuna she saw them climb the ladder that lead to Izuku's room

Izuna: Mom where's Onii-chan?

Inko shed small tears then reminded the two that Izuku was now an Overwatch soldier. When the realization came to pass the three grew upset.

Toshi: Lets eat breakfast then we can look and watch old family pictures and videos.

This brought smiles for the family of three but it would be a rude awakening. After breakfast they looked at family albums starting from the day both twins were brought into the world. They proceeded to look at all critical moments in the lives of their children the moment

As they grew smiles from seeing the twins held by Inko on the day of their birth then pictures of them being fed as toddlers, first steps then culminating with birthdays but they began to wonder where Izuku was during all the birthday photos. Then he went to the DVD'S of the birthdays and never saw Izuku suddenly they were interpreted by the ringing of their door bell

Toshinori went to open the door and saw all his friends at his doorstep including the Todoroki family.

Toshinori: Why are you all here?

Enji: We came to check up on you

Toshi: come in then.

As many of the Yagi family's friends arrived at the home then they noticed they were watching family videos.

Everyone had taken a seat in the Yagi's living room then began to see the family memories. They then noticed that the son of the Yagi's was nowhere to be seen in any of the home videos.

Enji: We've just watched all the major accomplishments that your daughter has achieved but I have not seen your son in any of these videos.

Sorahiko: The kid was there but he was in the background. Rewind to the birthday moments

Toshi had gone to one of his daughters birthdays like Sorahiko asked him to.

Sorahiko: Look at the top left corner

They did and saw Izuku sitting on the stairs with a small cupcake with a candle.

Rei: Have you taken any pictures of his childhood?

Inko: we dont have any after his 4th birthday

Everyone was disappointed in the Yagi's for neglecting their son. Inko went to look for any pictures of her son after his 4th birthday so she decided to investigate his room. After she left everyone began to scold Toshinori for negligence

Inko was in her sons room and looked for any clue until she saw a book on top of his shelf that he may have forgotten. After reaching for the book two CD cases fell on her head she read the names of the Cd's Ceiling fan and Thank you for hating me.

When Inko returned to everyone else they noticed she had a book with some Cd's so they checked the contents of the book and read "Happy birthday Izuku from the Hasagawa family" it was Izuku's photo album after the age of 4. Each picture was him surrounded by the neighbors
during many of his major moments school graduations, his boxing matches. The Yagi family felt like utter garbage

Inko: Toshi how are we going properly earn his forgiveness

Toshi: Before you get mad hear me out

Inko: Okay im listening

Toshi: We should get a divorce

All: What?!?!

Toshi: Let me explain. I turn over all the properties I own to Inko Midoriya we remarry and become the Midoriya family then we make a new will and add Izuku.

Enji: That wouldn't work Toshinori

Toshi: What are you talking about?

Enji: He's already a Midoriya so you probably already have him disowned under the Midoriya name. It wouldn't matter if you all become Midoriya's the documents probably would still be in effect that he wouldn't get anything upon your deaths

The logic behind Enji's words felt like they were thrusted through with a spear. "Do you have any ideas that can help us?" Inko asked as she was regretting all her choices.

Enji: Well contact him regularly, set up video call dates and ask about how his time with Overwatch is going. Eventhough you're his parents don't act like it accept the fact that you destroyed any bond with him as parent and child and get to know him as the man he's becoming.

Again many people except for Enji's family were in somewhat awe of how much good advice the man gives.

Toshi: You're freaking me out. How come when we patrol and I meet you you're an asshole?

Shoto/Natsuo/ Touya: That might be our fault

Inko: How is it your fault boys?

Touya: Well we were watching old wrestling shows and saw how they had a bad guys versus good guys story and we showed it to dad.

Enji: Thats been my character ever since. Enough about that you're all going to have to work harder to form a bond of friendship with Izuku Midoriya.
