"I still can't believe you aren't taking me as your date," Sans called from the living room.

"She'd never take you," Hex said.

"She's more likely to take me than you, " Sans countered.

"Please, we all know she'd rather go with me," Steele chimed in.

You laughed at the boys in the other room as you slipped your dress on, admiring yourself in the mirror. You still couldn't believe how amazing it was, how much it fit you and your style. Not even your coronation dress had made you feel this beautiful.

"I hate seeing you like this," Codo said as he stood by your side.

"You hate seeing me dressed up?"

"Yes."

"Why?" You asked, turning to face him. He smiled and reached a hand out to hold your cheek, just like he did when you were small. You leaned into it and closed your eyes, relishing in the homely feeling.

"It reminds me that you've grown up, and you're no longer my little child," he said with a sad smile.

"But I'm still your ad'ika," you said, pulling him into a hug. He held you tightly, chuckling before he let go.

"What's so funny?" You asked, looking up at him.

"Oh, just your troopers."

You rolled your eyes and walked out into the living room where they were currently in the middle of an argument about who you would take.

"She would choose me because I'm the one who would behave the best," Hex said.

"But I'm the most fun, so she'd take me!" Steele countered.

"I'm the best looking! Everyone knows you need good arm candy to look good yourself," Sans argued.

"If you boys really want to know who I'd take, it would be Tie," you said, gaining their attention. Sans opened his mouth, an offended look on his face before his expression changed. His mouth was still opened, but now it was a look of wonder.

"You look stunning, y/n," Hex said, politely admiring you.

"Yeah, absolutely amazing," Steele agreed with a wink. You met Sans's gaze and he finally snapped out of his trance.

"Are you sure you don't want some handsome arm candy? I will gladly go buy a suit right now," he said, causing you to giggle.

"Oh, please. You'd just make her look bad," Steele joked.

"Oh, shut it you di'kut," Sans shot back before he looked at you again, a questioning look coming to his face.

" Tie?" Sans said, unable to believe you'd said that. "You'd take Tie as a date?"

"Yes, is there something wrong with Tie?" You asked back, lifting a brow.

"No! I love Tie! Jawa squad and all, but really? You'd take him? I just don't think he's the formal occasion type," Sans explained.

"He'd certainly be the best of all three of you. Respectful, fun, and handsome."

"He's not nearly as fun as I am," Steele commented.

"You boys," you laughed, rolling your eyes.

"Codo, tell her you'd feel better if someone was there to protect her," Sans said, turning to your former master. You looked at the Mon Calamari as well, and he smiled at you.
