This also contains a scene from West wing so credit to that

Welcome to Lena being a savage and your author posting to updates in a night (A second one is coming shortly!)

3rd person POV

"Ladies and Gentleman can I have your attention!" Alex calls out. Everyone slowly quiets "I have the honor to present the President of the United States."

Almost everyone who was sitting stands up and applauds as Lena walks into the room followed by members of her cabinet and of course Kara who stays close to the door.

"Thank you. Thank you very much!" Lena says graciously as everyone applauds. "I wish I could spend more than a couple of minutes with you but the polls don't close in the east for another hour and there are plenty of election results to still falsify" Lena receives the chuckle she was expecting from that joke. "You know with so many people participating in the social and political debate through call-in shows, it's a good idea to have a reminder every once in a while" Lena has to clear her throat when her eyes catch on the only person in the whole room still seated in an ugly green suit. "... of the awesome impact" She catches the eye of the man once again as she pauses causing Kara to frown out of concern. Finally, Lena loses her patience. "I am sorry, you're Dr. Morgan Edge are you not?"

"Yes Ma'am" The man responds.

"It's good to have you here," Lena says in a tone that would say otherwise.

"Thank you"

Lena jumps back into her prepared speech "The awesome impact of the airwaves and how that translates into the furthering of our national discussion but obviously also how it can..." Lena's eyes get caught once again "How it can..." Finally Lena sighs and says "Forgive me Dr. Edge are you an MD"

"A Ph.D." He corrects.

"A Ph.D.?" Lena confirms.

"Yes Ma'am"

"In psychology?"

"No Ma'am"

"Theology?"

"No"

"Social Work?"

"I have a Ph.D. in English literature," He says with a hint of annoyance.

"I am asking because on your show people call in for advice and you go by the name Dr. Edge on your show and I didn't know if your listeners were confused by that and assumed you had advanced training in psychology, theology, or healthcare," Lena says only addressing the man now.

"I don't believe they are confused. No, ma'am."

"I listen to your show. It's interesting that you call homosexuality an abomination." Kara tenses at her girlfriend's words but holds herself in place with the rest of the room who looks about ready to kill this man.

"I don't say homosexuality is an abomination Madame President, the bible does."

"Yes, apparently it does. Leviticus..." Lena starts.

 "18:22" Edge finishes.

"Chapter and verse." Lena smiles internally "Now I wanted to ask you a couple of questions while I had you here. I am interested in selling my goddaughter Nia into slavery as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. She is a Georgetown sophomore. Speaks fluent French. Alway's helped out her mother when necessary. What would a good price for her be?" Lena pauses for a response but doesn't get one so she continues "While thinking about that can I ask another? My chief of staff Dr. Harleen Quinzel insists on working on the Sabbath Exodos 35:2, clearly says she should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself or is it okay to call the police?" Lena is losing her temper and doesn't pause for a response this time "Here's a really important one cause we got a lot of sports fans in this town. Touching the skin of a dead pig unclean, Leviticus 11:7. If they promise to wear gloves can Westpoint still play football? Can Notre Dame? Can my head of security, the former Navy seal who saved my life and this country on more than one occasion? Does the whole town really have to be together to stone my brother Lex for planting crops side by side? Can I burn my mother in a small fire in a small family gathering for wearing garments made from two different threads? Think about that would you?" Lena turns away from a pissed-off and embarrassed Morgan Edge but turns back as she says "Oh one last thing... while you maybe mistaking this for your monthly meeting of the ignorant tight-ass club, in this white house we believe love is love, black lives matter, women's rights are human rights, no human is illegal, and science is real. If you have a problem with that you can leave."
