Kara's POV

"Welcome back to Channel 5 news I am your host Cat Grant. Today we will be talking about the new hero. This new hero has thwarted her fourth consecutive bank robbery. There were no deaths or casualties at the City Bank. No one has stepped forward with any knowledge on the hero's identity, but we all hope that whoever this person is, they know that we are thankful for what they are doing."

I turn off the TV as I grin widely at my sister next to me.

Reluctantly she says "Yes okay you have been doing some good for the city."

"Damn right I am!"

"I am just happy you haven't gotten shot," Alex says while throwing a chopstick at me

"That is because I am bulletproof"

Her eyes widen as she says "And how exactly did you find that out?"

"Well... Um- I may have gotten shot and the bullet just bounced off me"

"I should call Mom so she can help me murder your dumbass."

"Please don't I have to leave for school in 20 minutes."

"Fine. Go get ready I will see you tonight I have work until late tonight"

I nod and walk back into my room to grab my bag and books.

I walk back downstairs and out the front door just in time to see my neighbor leaving her house.

"Hey, Lena how are you?" I call out as I walk toward the main road together.

She smiles shyly at me and says "I am good how are you?" as she tucks her raven hair behind her ear.

"I am doing good excited for another day of school."

"Did you hear that the hero stopped another robbery?"

****After School****

Lena's POV

I walk into my house and put my bag on the counter. I pull out my math homework and start working on it. I play some Halsey in my earbuds as I work on it.

I zone out and start absent-mindedly doodling in the margin of my page.

I jump when my phone buzzes. I grab it and see that my mom sent me a text asking if I could go to the bank and grab more checks for her.

I text back "Sure,"

It takes me 20 minutes to get to the bank because I was walking but it went by quickly.

I walk into the bank and up to the teller.

The old woman smiles at me and says "How can I help you today young lady?"

"Yes, I need to pick up some checks for an account under my mother's name."

"Of course, I just need a form of identification and your mother's name." She says typing something on her computer.

Before I can give her what she wanted from my purse. I feel something cold and metal pressing into my back.

"Keep quiet girly. Lady, I need you to go into the back and put all of the money in your safe into this bag and if you set off the alarm I will shoot this girl. Got it?" said a deep voice.
