AN: Okay I really am working on the table partners chapter and I am trying really hard to figure out where the plot is gonna go but I am rewatching all of the hells bells series and got to the episode where someone fucked with Sharkie and every pantheon showed up to beat the shit out of the bitch who hurt the baby shark and this chapter is inspired by that (Also kids AU)

Also, it's the start of March madness and I have been nonstop watching women's basketball (If you don't know who Aliyah Boston, Caitlyn Clarke, Paige Buekers, Haley Jones, Cameron Brink, and Literally anyone from the Washington State or LSU team go check them out on Instagram they are badasses and trailblazers and deserve support)

(This story is not at all reflective of my life experience)

Kara's POV

I am sitting at Lena and I's dining table typing up my final edits to the new Catco prints. Lena still refuses to allow me to cook even though I took cooking classes and only burn the pan every couple of months so she was cooking for us.

Our child was on the way home from a basketball scrimmage. They had been playing since they were a little kid and were starting on the Varsity team as a freshman which was next to unheard of at the school. It was even better because they were the first non-binary athlete on the basketball team.

"I'm home" Haze yelled as they shut the door to our house.

"In the kitchen!" I yelled back as I finished my last sentence and closed my laptop.

I spin around as Haze walks into the room and I nearly rip the corner of our granite when I see our child covered in cuts, bruises, and pieces of garbage.

Lena and I both run over and inspect them for any injuries that could be worse and I let out a sigh of relief when I see nothing is broken. They took after their mom and didn't have any powers but were the smartest person ever.

I pulled the pieces of garbage off and was eternally grateful that Lena with the help of Cisco gave them a teleporting machine that can take them to and from school.

"Honey, what happened?" Lena said bringing all of us over to the couch and sits them down while we kneel in front of them.

Haze chuckled sadly and says "Our scrimmage was in the outskirts of Midvale and they didn't like the idea of a 'creature' as they put it so eloquently on a sports team. So they yelled slurs every time I entered the game and throughout the entire game. The refs tried to stop it but nothing helped. Then when I left the gym to teleport home there was a gang of them who started throwing things at me. It took me a minute to lose them in the forest so they hit me with some stuff..."

"I am going to kill them," I say as I stand up and grab the medical kit from a closet

"Mom," Haze says as I pass Lena some bandaids so we can start treating the cuts. "We have another scrimmage with them next week at our home court so it won't be that bad because we won't be playing them in that area." They take a deep breath "I don't need Supergirl right now or Lena Luthor the badass. I need my mom's."

We recently had a conversation about Lena and I breaking boundaries as Supergirls/CEOs without intending and overstepping instead of being there for them as parents.

Thankfully we raised a good kid who spoke up when they started feeling this way.

"Okay" I take a breath and control my rage as I say "I won't kill them but you know that we will be there the next time for the game to make sure this doesn't happen again."

"That's all I can ask for." They say pulling us both into a hug. "People suck and we can't change this in this instant but we can eat ice cream and Disney and if they want to be shitheads and up having to face the full fury of Lilly when they die and go to hell. And you guys will be there next time to make sure it doesn't happen again."
