AN: This is a rewrite of an old story but I hope you enjoy it anyway! I am doing okay for those of you who don't know I got Covid unfortunately but my symptoms are mild minus some serious tiredness
Lena's POV
The club was blasting music and I can barely hear my own thoughts. My werewolf hearing and senses aren't helping my nerves that were already on the edge of a 1000 foot cliff.
Lights were flashing and the DJ was bopping along to what seemed to be the same song on repeat.
When I agreed to go to a Generational Pack Alliance meeting a rave wasn't exactly what I was expecting.
As the Alpha of one of the 5 packs, it is my duty to go.
Unlike the last five generations of alphas in my pack, I actually decided to try and make peace with the other four packs this year.
Whether they agree to it after the bull shit my pack has pulled in the past is a different story.
The Luthor Pack is powerful enough to stand alone against the four others but it is putting a big strain on our pack that my evil parents and brother were willing to put our pack through but I am not.
Those assholes and their loyal followers finally got exiled and I have taken over as Alpha and things are finally starting to go smoothly. But before I can really start to breathe easy I need to secure a spot in this alliance.
And that is why I am at a club on a Friday night instead of out looking for my mate or reading a book in my room. Either would be leaps and bounds better than this.
I take a sip of my sparkling water as I glance to my right and see Carol and Nat grinding on each other in the middle of the dance floor. It makes me giggle. My beta is so freaking in love with her witch mate it is adorable.
I am surprised either is able to relax that much in a building packed with people who have no allegiance to us in the supernatural world whatsoever.
They are too caught up in each other's worlds to care apparently but I know if I need Nat she will be by my side in an instant.
I turn to the bartender who tall redheaded woman who seemed to be in her early 20s so around my age.
I give her a simple smile as I say "Could I have a refill on my sparkling water?"
She nods and pours me the drink. I glance around and when I see no one is looking I make eye contact with her and say "Thanks for the drink" as she passes it to me before I continue saying "Now where is the real party" while flashing my wolf eyes that were a stark green color.
Normal wolves have silver eyes, but the five Alpha's all have different colored eyes.
From what I know one has eyes the color of the bluest ocean, another purple that matches the galaxies, another redder than fire, and the last has white brighter than the sun.
I expect her to flash her eyes as a show of respect but receive nothing of the sort.
Either she isn't a wolf, which is vastly unlikely at this event and I can tell she was a wolf, or she is a dumb wolf not showing respect to another Alpha. Regardless of if she is in my pack or not, she should be doing that...
I am still confused as shit when she moves around the bar and says "Follow me" while leading me toward a back room.
I was about to question her but we reached a door that was being guarded by two big men that were clearly also wolves.
With a simple nod from the women, they let us through. I heard a small commotion behind me.
I turn and see Carol, Nat, and Yelena trying to get through but the men are stopping them. Nat looked like she was about to snap their necks.
