Drive-Thru Drama

AN: Hellllloooooo I am not dead I swear (I say that a lot I realize) I am going to try and post a couple of chapters tonight(Idk if it will actually happen) to make up for inactivity and writing block. These are mostly going to be rewrites of other stories of mine so they might be a bit odd but I hope you enjoy them.

Also, this is slightly Korrassami heavy but I hope you still like it! I tried to add more supercorp than already existed but it was hard.

Korra's POV

I am working the late shift at our local diner. Adora is working the grill, and Nat is working the register for customers who come in, though they are few and far between during the night shift.

I am working the drive-thru window.

Nothing special has happened so far just a couple of teens out getting late-night snacks. Nothing special.

The owner of this place is my friend Glimmer's parents so they hooked me up with the gig. Most of our friends work here, but not all at the same time. Adora and I work the same shift because we are roommates and it is easier that way, but the person working with us shifts around, we have had Lena the last couple of nights. She is nice and Nat is also.

They are roommates who don't talk much and keep to themselves when we work together. Lena always has this one notebook near her at all times. I have no idea what is in it but it's not my business and I am too scared to check. 

Adora and I are on a soccer and a martial arts scholarship respectively. It pays for all of the school parts of it but living on campus is the worst so we decided to get jobs and move in together.

It's a small two-bedroom but it's home and it's ours. 

I look up from the chemistry homework I am working on when I see a car pulling into the drive-thru lane on the security camera.

I tap my headset turning it on. When I see they are next to the box with the speaker I say "Welcome to Bright moon Dinner may I take your order?"

A voice comes to life in my ear and says "Hi can we have two number 5's an oreo milkshake, a coke, and two orders of fries."

I type it into the computer so Adora can start the order as I say "Sure, Will that be all?"

I hear a voice in the background say "Oh get a burger and fries for Kara she is always hungry"

I type it in as the first voice repeats the order.

I turn to start making the shakes at the station behind me as I say "Alrighty then pull up to the next window. Your total will be $28.25."

I hear the car pull up to the window as I keep working on the shakes.

I open the window that I had closed to keep the cold air away from me.

I see the window roll down and there is a literal goddess in front of me.

I shake my head to stop myself from staring at her. Which I totally hadn't been for a creepy amount of time. I grab the credit card she passed me.

Looking at the computer to finish the payment so she won't see the fact that I am blushing. Thank god for my tan skin, it makes detecting blushes way harder.

It is taking a bit to process so I adjust the top of my uniform. It got scrunched up while I was working on my homework.

It finally goes through so I take out her card and pass it back to the raven-haired goddess.
