AN: I got this Idea from a song called Lion by Saint Mesa and the fight club style is inspired by a Webtoon called Unordinary. It is pretty good and credit to the author/artist of that. Strongly recommend listening/reading both!

National City High School.

One of many schools in the large city, but it was different.

It was considered the apex predator of high schools.

You may be asking why use those words?

Well the thing is everyone has a so called manifestation animal that they can change their physical form into.

The stronger the animal the more powerful the person. But the things is the stronger an animal is the more rare it is for a person to have that animal.

The strong have a tendency to pray on the weak and the weak don't dare challenge them.

Except National City High School. They are the outlier.

Fighting is normal at most schools, everywhere but NCHS it is to use to intimidate and get what students want.

The coolest and strongest at each school are the royals.

Royals rule each school as the see fit with the help of teachers and administrators.

Slowly over the years competition sprung up between schools.

Called challenges, each school sends their royals to fight. It is either a 1v1 or a 4v4 fight the royals on each team decide together. The people who fight are the Queen's, Jack's, King's, and a champion they choose or their Ace if they feel it necessary. The champion can change but generally the others stay the same.

The Jack's start by fighting, if it is 1v1. You go to knock out or submission. Once a player submits or gets called back by their team the next player from that team takes over and so on. Who ever wins more of the fights wins. If it is tied 2-2 the ace's are called in.

National City High School is undefeated for the last 4 years in these matches. Who is leading them at the moment?

The Jack, Nia Nal. Powerful. Gorgeous. Smart. Kind. Avoids conflict as much as she can but will defend herself when needed. Her kindness is why everyone loves and respects her. She is a ragging Hufflepuff.

The Queen. Lena Luthor. People cower at her mere stare. If regal had a human form she would be it. As well as being intimidating and insanely powerful she was a genius. Top of her class and set to graduate and take over her family business. At first people were scared of her because of her family but they quickly realized she had the strength that came with the name.

The King. Winn Schott. Odd is the word most would use to describe him but not to his face. He is well known for being a nerd. He is actually quite proud of that fact. People quickly realized that just because someone is king doesn't make them a stereotypical jock. Some people teased him for his love of comics and science. Thing is, Lena doesn't take to kindly to people making fun of her friends. People stopped teasing Winn real quick because of Lena and because they truly realized he deserved the title of king.

The Ace? Well that's for you to find out later.

What happens when a high school forms a new group of royals and tries to challenge the Apex school?

I shut my locker to see Alex standing next to my locker. The girl's red hair was covering her right eye but she didn't seem to mind and I didn't either because there was a look in her eyes that caught my attention quickly.
