AN: Hi y'all! I am so sorry it's been a hot second since I updated here. If you are reading my theater camp book you know that I am just starting a new semester of college and I am hosting an event coming up and so I got wayyyyyy too much on my plate (I am also a student-athlete so that doesn't help)
3rd Person POV
The day is beautiful and calm in the forest surrounding the National Kingdom.
Besides the wanted posters of a one certain green-eyed thief billowing lightly in the breeze, everything was calm
"This is the story of how I died," A voice says in a serious tone but it quickly changes its tone as another wanted poster comes in focus the green eyes not exactly fitting right. "But don't worry this is a fun story, and the truth is it isn't even mine."
"This is the story of a girl named Kara."
"And it starts with the sun."
"Once upon a time, a single drop of sunlight fell from the heavens. And from this small drop of sun grew a magic golden flower. It had the ability to heal the sick and injured. Oh, you see that old woman over there? You might want to remember her. She's kinda important."
"Well, centuries passed and a hop, skip and a boat ride away there grew a kingdom. The kingdom was ruled by a beloved pair of queens. And the queen, Alura, was about to have a baby. But she got sick. Really sick. She was running out of time, and that's when people start to look for a miracle, or in this case a magic golden flower."
The old lady is back and still alive somehow as she slinks through the forest.
"Ah! I told you she'd be important." She glances around nervously before revealing the golden flower "Instead of sharing the sun's gift, this woman, Mother Lillian hoarded its healing power and used it to keep herself young for hundreds of years. And all she had to do was sing a special song."
"Flower, gleam and glow. Let your power shine" The woman is slowly getting younger and younger as she sings "Make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine. What was once mine" Once she finished her old age disappeared and she looked young once again.
"You get the gist. She sings to it, she turns young. Creepy right?"
When the townspeople get close to Mother Lillian she panics and in her haste to leave when she hears voices of the townspeople, she doesn't properly hide the flower and it is clearly visible
Lillian watches in horror as the townspeople led by the captain of the guard Alex take the flower.
"The magic of the golden flower healed the queen. A healthy baby girl, a princess was born, with beautiful golden hair."
Eliza picks up her daughter as Alura grabs her tiara for the baby before gently setting it on the baby's head.
"I'll give you a hint, that's Kara."
The baby has beautiful blue eyes just like Eliza's.
"To celebrate her birth, the king and queen launched a flying lantern into the sky." Everyone else's lanterns follow after the royal families in a grand celebration.
"And for that one moment, everything was perfect. And then that moment ended. Lillian came back. She knew she wouldn't survive with the flower so she broke into the castle and into baby Kara's room before she starts singing that special song"
"Flower, gleam, and glow" Kara's hair immediately starts glowing and Lillian takes a strand in her hand "Let your power shine" Kara is still sound asleep as Lillian cuts the strand of her but to her shock and horror the hair immediately turned a dark brown losing all of its glow all the way down to the root of the strand. She was so shocked that she accidentally crashed into the wardrobe setting off the alarm.
