A/N:
For further understanding, I'd added a small summary on the game that I'll be mentioning in this chapter from Steam.

The Dark Occult is a psychological driven horror game that puts players in a constant state of anxiety that crescendos into raw panic and terror. The game takes place in a decaying manor with demonic entities and strong ties to the occult. You will encounter grotesque creatures, who will take your life at any moment. Your only goal -- survive.

In The Dark Occult, players will enter the game exploring a seemingly abandoned house that is consumed with demonic activity. Players are sent to the Atkinson House to investigate unusual happenings surrounding the death of the owner. Upon entering the house, players discover that they are unable to leave and are haunted by an incessant demonic woman who stalks them with murderous intent. Demonic artifacts must be destroyed in order to survive. Players must be hyper-aware of every move, twist and turn, as the woman is always lurking. The Dark Occult fully immerses players in an environment filled with anxiety, panic, and real consequences that scar.

Flashback Continues

Looking into the mirror, he adjusted the hem of his shirt while eyeing at his hair.

Ding!

A notification popped and caught his attention. Switching on his phone, he saw a reminder sent to his personal email and noticed that it was from that specific platform that he had yet received notifications from for months.

'Jinx is live now.'

He instantly strode to his laptop, turning it on and the same notification occupied the screen. Without further hesitation, he clicked into the platform and plugged in his earphones.

"Hey guys, it's been awhile since I've streamed here. Life is a little hectic right now and I finally found some time for myself." He heard the mellow and rather familiar voice and pulled his chair closer to his desk.

"Well, let's continue where we'd left off shall we?" Jinx continued as he started the game on his computer.

"Horror, as usual, my favourite genre and most importantly, I'd left this update hanging for way too long so let's begin." Krist took off his earphones for a moment as he rushed for his blanket and a pillow. Making sure the blanket had fully covered himself, he hugged the pillow tight in front of his chest before plugging the earphones back into his ears.

"The Dark Occult. It's been too long since I last approached this game. I wonder if I still remember the settings in this game. I'll be doomed if I forgot all of it, the difficulty I'd chosen doesn't even provide any maps and the mansion is way too big to explore once more if I don't have any clue to where I am heading." He muttered under his breath and groaned when his character was spawned in a room filled with writings and was glowing. He turned his character facing away from the bible that was the saving point of the game and opened the door.

"W-where am I?" Jinx softly mumbled, confused and that erupted a small chuckle from Krist, thinking that the gesture is rather cute.

"Where is this checkpoint?" The character on the screen came out of the room and was wandering around the hall. But all of a sudden, a black shadow appeared and it shook Krist to the core. He was never a fan of the horror genre and he hated watching anything related to it. But he'd endured it just to watch Jinx's game streaming, despite always having nightmares after the streams.

"OH GOSH!" Jinx exclaimed before leading his character running back towards the 'safe haven'.

"What the hell!" Heaving heavily, Jinx's character remained in the room for a moment before he carefully went out of it again.

"I should have seen it coming. That evil spirit isn't something I want to see again and I'm already out of amulets to temporarily repel it." Jinx sighed and began to explore around the house, looking for batteries for his flashlight and door keys to unlock the doors at the upper floor of the mansion. Immersing himself in the whole gameplay, Krist was forced to stop when he heard Jinx excusing himself for a toilet break and to grab a simple lunch.

Yawning while stretching his limbs, Krist removed his earphones and the thought of surprising Singto came back into his mind.

'Right, I was supposed to visit P'Sing at his place today. How could I forget it?' Scratching the back of his head, Krist stood up and decided to proceed with his plan, surprising Singto. Not wanting to miss out the live stream, Krist grabbed his laptop with him, not bothering to temporarily switch it off. He came out of his door with a paper bag in one hand, his laptop in the other and he gingerly unlocked his neighbour's door. He peeked through the small gap from the door and didn't notice Singto around.

Placing the bag filled with coffee buns he'd made earlier that day on the coffee table, he knocked on Singto's door and was a little confused to not have heard a reply.

'I'm sure his schedule is empty today. Did he go and visit Khun Boonrod?' Krist, with uncertainty, opened the door and slowly walked in.

"P'Sing?" He called out, being aware of the surrounding...

But something didn't seem right.

"P'Sing? Where are you?" He called out again and heard himself from one of his earphones plugged in to his ear.

"P'Sing?" His voice was getting even clearer and he was utterly shocked as he wasn't sure why he could hear himself from his earphones. At the same moment, the bedroom door opened, revealing Singto with a cup of coffee in his hand.

"Kit?" To say Singto was flabbergasted is an understatement, more so when he saw the screen playing on Krist's laptop. Krist was looking at Singto for a second before following his gaze towards his own laptop and lastly on Singto's desktop.

"P'Sing?"

"Wait, Kit. I-"

"Y-you... You're Jinx!"

A/N:
An early update. I was planning to update on weekends but since I need to travel that day, I decided to do that earlier. I'm not sure if I could update another chapter for this week since tomorrow is my only free day other than today and I intend to update my other stories. So, I'll try to write and update if I can. Thanks for reading.
