Backstory:
The Outlands Outpost was the most dangerous place in Skylands. It was a place where villains would hangout and concoct evil (or just plain rude) plans to terrorize the people of Skylands. The Starmen of the Outpost were sick of the villainy and attempted to start an uprising. They were quickly beaten and enslaved. With all hope lost, they sent out one last cry for help.

Whiplash was a young up and coming sharp shooter that believed in fighting evil. This led to him becoming one of the sheriffs at Iron Jaw Gulch. Whiplash quickly became a local star as he efficiently brought down villains with his magic whip.

At the peak of his fame, he heard the cry from Outlands Outpost and decided he could do something about it. Rounding up a bunch of guns and ammo, Whiplash left to save the Starmen. He got to the Outlands Outpost and took on all the villains. After a long battle, Whiplash proved victorious and drove the villains away.

For a long time he remained at the Outlands Outpost making sure that the villains could not enslave the Starmen again.

Unfortunately for Whiplash, one of the villains held a grudge. Wolfgang was one of the notorious Doom Raiders at the time and had frequented the Outlands Outpost as a way to indulge his evil needs. He did not like what Whiplash had done and knew he needed to take out of the sheriff if he wanted his land of villains back.

And so, posing as a sheep, Wolfgang snuck into the Outlands Outpost and shot Whiplash through the chest with his bone harp bow. Whiplash hadn't seen it coming and was shot again before he fell off the island.

Wolfgang revealed himself victoriously to the Starmen, ready to enslave them again. Little did he know that Whiplash had trained the Starmen in case something like this happened. The Starmen band together and beat Wolfgang, leaving him fleeing the Outlands Outpost forever.

Whiplash had fallen a long ways after Wolfgang's attack before crash landing on an island far below. For years he lie there stuck in a state of limbo as his skin decayed, leaving nothing but a skeleton. More time passed before finally someone found him.

The Brain had come upon the skeleton sheriff and realized it was the infamous Whiplash. He set to work using ancient mind magic and gave the sheriff an undead life source.

Whiplash awoke confused. The Brain took him in and offered him a spot on a new Skylander team he was putting together. At the offer of fighting off villainy, Whiplash had to accept.

Personality:
Whiplash has a deep southern voice and is very level headed in times of stress. He has a calming presence and is a leader in every sense of the word. He isn't very talkative, but his presence commands the room. His hobbies are undead horse riding, target practice, and watching the sunset from a rocking chair with a glass of iced tea.
