I. OUTSIDE ELEMENTS
Title: 5/10. hmm the title does give something away about the relationship we're about to read but I think you can find a more,,,, aesthetic title? I don't mean something lyrical or whatever. Just something that sounds a little less awkward?
Blurb: 7/10. I would have given the blurb a higher rating, because it gave me the perfect amount of plot, main characters and premise. But, it's written from Eric's (main character) viewpoint, yes? I feel it should feel a bit more up close and personal. Try answering these questions and include at least one of them in your blurb. a) Why does Eric need the 'financial stability'? you've mentioned that he's poor, but be a bit more specific. b) Why does that mate need an heir? it is common tradition to want an heir, correct, but to have written it in your blurb, it must have high priority for the mate, right? Tell us why to start caring for the mate, PLUS plus, it also adds stakes to Eric's life!! the potential problems that will arise if he doesn't produce an heir!! c) Why else does Eric can't seem to hate his bully anymore? 'gentle touch' is okay, but if this bully is going to have a redemption arc (hopefully??) it's better to hint at it properly in the blurb so that readers don't assume that your book is the generic bully x victim trope. So mentioning something more genuine than physical attraction (or intimacy or whatever you meant earlier) would help.
Cover: 7/10. The cover art is totally up my alley, to be honest. But there's no title and author name. i docked points for that.
IV. OTHER
I appreciated the trigger warnings at the beginning of chapters. Not a practice many Wattpad authors maintain, and I don't suggest it at every turn, but every time I do see warnings, I am a little grateful to the authors.
A/N:- that's all I got to read before they vanished off the face of the planet. Seems like they've blocked me.
