Smart

I watched  Mrs Maria walk in the Cafe with Lady, I smiled to hide my tension.
They had called me earlier invite me for a Lunch date.

We settled down for lunch with Maria smiling at me.

"Smart,My husband and I want to give the perfect wedding present to Lady and Alex so we came to a conclusion that a house would be the best gift"Maria smiled.

Suddenly,I lost my appetite.

" What do you mean?A wedding?"I asked.

" Mom have decided to fix our wedding"lady said.

" Without his consent?"I asked.

" We don't really care, He'll do whatever I want"Maria answered.

" But...."I began.

" Common Smart,I just wanted you to look at houses with us,you're his best friend and he must have told you the kind of houses he wants"Lady smiled.

" Remember,it's a secret and we wouldn't want him to know..We looking at the best house nearest to the company"I said.

" Look at this one,I personally like it"Lady showed me pictures on her phone.

" My son likes nature,we have to find ones with trees and a pool"Maria smiled.

" He would want where he can always run and he hate houses in a secluded place"Lady said.

No, Alex didn't like nature,he thought snakes was found in every tree or flowers but i knew it was because I was allergic to flowers  ,he loves quiet places and loved apartments.

I suddenly stood up.
" What Is it?"Maria asked.

" Maria,you don't know your son and what he wants..Lady,you better stop trapping him into things he doesn't want to do,sorry..I'm not a part of this"I picked my wallet and walked to the cashier paying before walking out of the Restaurant ignoring  their protest.

I entered my car and drove off.My new company offered me a house and Car but I turned down the house since I had one.

I drove in and smiled at the man that was also walking out of his car.

Taking deep breaths so he wouldn't notice but knowing he would surely know no matter what.

I picked up my documents and stepped out,His lips stretched into a smile when he saw me walking towards him.

"Goodevening" He greeted bending down to kiss me but I stopped him.

"Not here" I shook my head walking ahead into the elevator.

"How was  the first day?" He asked.

"Fine,I had a great day" I replied.

"Then why is your face not bright?my baby wouldn't mind me kissing him anywhere I wanted " He said as we walked into the house.

I removed my Jacket and shirt before sitting down.

"Nothing" I put on my television.

"Are we hiding things now?" Alex took the remote and switching off the television.

"I ate lunch with your mom and fiancee" I looked at him.

"What?" he deadpanned.

"Your mom wanted to pick a house for your wedding gift" I said.
"What do you mean?" he picked up his jacket.

"Your wedding will be fixed soon,I think they're planning ending of the month" I smiled at him.

"What the fuck?" he walked angrily towards the door.

I ran in time to stop him.

"Baby,I'm okay,you can't go to your mom in this State,you are angry and not seeing straight"I said.

" I can't see straight cos I'm not"He smiled.

" You can't drive angry and I don't want you talking to your.."I was saying.

" I'll call you"He angrily walked out of the door slamming it.

I ran to the window and watched his car leave the gate.
I wish I didn't tell him but I know who my boyfriend was.He knew when I'm lying,He didn't need to look at my eyes to know I was hiding something.

Strangely,He always know what I'm feeling with just my voice or a look at my Features.
