Bella moves in the direction of the sound and she sees Jay leaning on the adjacent wall, "What do you mean?" Bella raises an eyebrow in confusion.
Jay drags the strap of his bag which is laying on his shoulders and strides towards Bella, "He is never going to like you, forget about him. He is just like that, he never cared for the ones close to him." Jay states in a firm tone.
She wants to go against Jay when he says all this shit about Jake, but she doesn't have anything at her defense, what was she going to say to him, that Jake is not like that? When she herself knew that a part of it was true.
But something bothered her and she let out her query, "How do you know?"
She glances at Eva thinking it was her who told him all of this because she knew how much Eva hated Jake. But she also knew that Eva would never say that to others.
She confirms her doubt when Eva looks at her equally confused.
"What? I haven't told him anything." Eva said as she waved her hands in dismay, was Bella accusing her with that gaze?
"No one need to tell me anything, its quite evident. Literally anyone in the class can agree with me." Jay reveals.
"Is it that obvious?" Bella asks Jay nervously. "Of course, it is, if I would've been in your place, I might've already moved on by now." Jay answers her while shrugging his shoulders and stating the obvious.
"Its easy for you to say," Bella was feeling low now, everyone told her the same thing, well not everyone just Eva and now Jay that she should move on and that he isn't worth her wait.
She couldn't convince her soul, she just couldn't move on. Whenever he came back to her after his break up while being vulnerable and in desperate need of affection, she gave in.
She knew she was being used by him, she knew that it was just a hoax and that he'll go back to being the same Jake who goes on dating around random girls.
She wanted him to be hers, even if was for a brief moment.
Jay's voice brings her out of her thoughts, "You're not even trying."
"It's not that I didn't try." Her voice was low and almost inaudible.
"Really? Sitting with him, staying by his side is what you call trying? Then no one can move on by 'trying' like that." Jay almost scoffs at her.
Bella was now starting to get pissed at him, they never knew how it felt to be in unrequited love yet they questioned her 'trying' methods.
