Jake runs behind Jay to ask the meaning but when Jay turns around and frowns, he decides not to ask him that question.

He had a much more important thing to ask Jay and since they were opening up to each other for the first time in their entire lifetime. He wasn't going to let this rare occasion pass away.

“I wanted to ask t-that, well what were you two doing outside, if you aren’t like actually d-dating?”

Jay squints his eyes at him, and opposes, “It’s none of your business.” He finally got to use the sentence which Jake used on him multiple times. The sentence he absolutely loathed.

“I know, but-t since you already told me quite few things about…”

“Don’t try to push your luck!” Jay strictly warned and Jake’s face fell like a dejected puppy.

Seeing Jake fiddling with his jacket rope and aimlessly kicking around instead of giving a harsh comeback, makes Jay feel a tad bit something for him.

So, he takes a deep sigh and decides to tell the truth, “I told her about the Sunghoon incident. Everything I knew about it.”

“You did what-?” Jake exclaims, his eyes widening in fear and remorse.

He grips his hair, and mumbles incoherent things, “Oh no-no-no. She-” This is end of it. His breath hitches and squats down on the floor, he starts huffing and panting for air.

“Look you can still explain your side and… Jake?” Jay sees Jake breathing heavily for air, a sudden force over takes him, and he rushes to his side.

“A-are you having a p-panic at-tack?” Jay utters looking at Jake on knees and tears stream down his eyes.

“Jake, look at me-” Jay grabs him by his shoulder and lifts his chin upwards, “She still believes you; she is still your best friend. Nothing changed. She-she would have known this some day or the other. Don’t worry too much… hey?” Jay tries to lift Jake up.

Jake starts wailing down on the ground, his hands covering his face. The episodes of the past came slamming down on his shoulders. His throat begged for air, eyes bleeding tears.

Never in Jay’s life had he seen Jake- cry, that too miserably. And it gave a pang to his heart. He felt guilty about it. Was I suppose to enjoy seeing him like this?

He squats down on sidewalk and rubs Jake’s back, that’s when he realises what Jake was mumbling and slurring about, “It’s all my fault! My fault! F-fault! S-she must b-be h-hurt b-because of m-me. I-I don’t d-d-eserve h-her no-r S-Sung-hoon. I-” he hick ups because of the sobs, he was blaming himself. For everything.

“No Jake, she isn’t hurt. Do you know what she said to me?”
The boy with tears tries to look up at Jay, his melting eyes plead him to talk more about her, “W-w-hat?”
