Fortunately, the day went well, except the parts where people threw repellent looks at Bella.
Not all of them though, some were too busy planning for the final decorations and preparations for the upcoming fest which is after 2 days.
Jake? He didn't attend the class, he just disappeared. Since, there wasn't actually anything to do with studies but that wasn't the actual reason.
Mia just left midway stating, she had to organize a party at her big fat house. On the occasion of fest, like a pre-fest party, and she surprisingly invited many of her classmates.
That wasn't the only reason though.
For some reason Eva tags long with Bella to her house, which was surprising because that was once in a blue moon.
"Clara!! I missed you!!" Eva goes in and give a bear hug to Clara, Bella just stands at the doorstep, witnessing the overflowing love.
"Eva, what a surprise! I missed you so much. I also have so many things to talk about." Clara squeals, and then gives a wink.
"Ah... surprise, right... we need to talk." Eva chuckles nervously and then nods.
Bella squints her eyes and looks at Eva and Clara, "You are acting suspicious."
Clara shakes her head tensely and offers her to come in, "Come in, why are you standing there." Bella steps in, her eyes never leaving Eva and Clara's eye conversations.
"I need to go and check up on Jake first, you two can continue," Bella states and then gives them a look indicating, 'I have my eyes on you'.
Both of them nod simultaneously and Bella leaves the house.
When she reaches inside Aunt Sally is already home, Bella asks, "Is Jake home?"
"No, he was here before and then changed his clothes into some party wear, left a message saying he is attending some pre-fest party later tonight." Sally replies and then takes a glance at a tensed Bella.
"He didn't tell you, are you going to that party? Is there anything wrong between you two?" Sally inquires and Bella pauses to think, it was Bella who always informed Sally about Jake's whereabouts.
It was surprising to see Bella asking about it to her.
"Oh Yes, I am going too. Don't worry Aunt Sally there's nothing wrong, I will look out for him." Bella assures her and then pulls up a grin.
"That's a relief, wait a minute," She goes inside the kitchen and brings a piece and of hotteok, "Taste this and tell me how it is," she feeds it to Bella and then anticipates her reaction.
"Aunt...mhmm... this is so good. Best hotteok ever made," Bella mumbles while eating and then gulps it down, smiling widely.
Pleased with the response Sally pats her check, "You know how to flatter me, take these with you," she passes her a plate and Bella takes it happily.
