Bella and Jay are lot more comfortable than before; they are talking to each other about their favorite books and authors all throughout the ride.
When it comes to books, there isn't anything that is enough. They are going to the study café to discuss and help each other. Both didn't know that Jake is tailing them.
Jake just wanted to follow her and make sure that she was safe, that's what he told himself, when in reality he just couldn't bear to see her with Jay.
She looked happy with Jay, in fact happier than she was with Jake and the feeling that surfaced was he directly denied- jealousy.
No! he was just looking out for her like any other best friend would. She was his responsibility.
Eyes on the road Jake!
He soon realizes that the route headed to the study café. The café that was their place. She was taking him to where they were supposed to meet. And his doubt is proven right when he sees them getting off the bus just aside the café.
He parks his bike near the parking lot of the shop opposite to the café in order to not get caught. He debates in whether or not he should enter inside.
After fidgeting with his thoughts, he decides to wait for a few minutes.Back in the café, Bella guides Jay to the usual seat she used to reserve to write and study. Jay gets cozy in his seat and admires the surrounding.
The café was filled with quotes painted on walls- extravagant designs of bookshelf placed in each row.
"I would love to come every day at this café, the vibe here is pretty cool." Jay states while continuing to watch his surroundings.
Bella agrees and utters, revealing her fondness for this place, "I know, that's the reason I come here almost every day. My parents aren't usually at home, whenever I feel lonely, I come here at this café. The place I used to go before doesn't feel the same anymore. This is a fresh breath of air for me."
She was getting unexpectedly talkative to Jay, when it comes to her people and place, she could go about it on and on. And Jay is ready to listen all about it.
Bella missed Jake, but he was so busy dating random girls to the point he would barely pay her a visit. She never told him, she couldn't. Sometimes she wished she had never fallen for him in the first place.
Maybe things would have turned out to be different, but she had to get up, at some point she had to accept that her love cannot be returned. And it is meant to remain that way. Unrequited.
She sure couldn't stop her feelings but she could at least try to not think about it.
They decide to do a brief on the novel Bella was writing and then go back to their editing work.
Bella shows him the initial plotline she wrote, "This is the story I have in paper at the moment, it's about a girl who tries to find the secrets of her past which links to a certain masked boy. It's a paranormal, romance type of story. You can read the story and till then I will work on the video."
"Sounds good! I will help you with it after I finish reading this." Jay replies and starts reading the printed papers. They silently work for a short period.
Jay gets engrossed in the story which was initially of only 2 pages. He exclaims after finishing it, "This is so good... I totally didn't expect that. What happened next?"
Bella diverts her attention from her laptop and towards Jay, she smiles at his reaction feeling pleased from the response. She explains him the plot and they have a good laugh about a certain inside joke Jay passes.
All of this gets noticed by Jake through the glass wall, he was patiently waiting for their conversation to get over but it had been 15 minutes and none of them was coming out.
It gets on his nerves- the curiosity to know what they are talking about and most importantly to know why they were together in the first place.
Unable to control himself, Jake chooses to go inside and talk to her about it.
