Today— Bella feels different, she has this weird feeling in the pit of her stomach which couldn’t be verbally explained, and a swarm of complex emotions clouding her mind that keeps making it hard for her to focus on one thing at a time.
The late events have taken a toll on her, for a while her dreams which she doesn’t even know exists are coming into reality, although not exactly like how she wishes. But they are, and that’s the most contended she has felt in a long time.
Every time she closed her eyes, that face, that smile perks up and she finds herself dipping into the endless abyss of remembering the night again.
Bella thought she saw something different in his eyes last night, the stars that she didn’t recognize before, those which searched something in hers and sparkled brighter than before.
Or was it just her imagination?
Today also marks the 25th anniversary of their high school, she looked forward to it now. Although, not for her date but to see Jake again.
She starts expecting things again, but now, her mind didn’t stop her. It let her travel on the farther stretches of her imaginary land. Just in hope that it would affect reality for once. In a better way.
It had been an hour since Bella was up, she couldn’t really sleep last night, and now she couldn’t get up from her bed.
If that single event could give her so much happiness, they how happy she would get if she lived that even every day?
All of sudden, things seems like they escalated way too quickly, is that a sign, sign of things weighing down just as fast? Or was it just in her head?
Bella immediately shakes her head; no let’s push the negative thoughts aside for now.
She settles on calling Eva and talking to her about her feelings, there’s something she wanted to risk. She is ready to face the consequences.
“Eva, can you come home today, there’s something I want to talk to you about.”

Jake felt alive, way more than before, and the moment when he was about to let go of her hand, it added a weight on his chest.
He didn’t want to let go, what he did not know was neither did she. Eventually, he did, even though it was necessary to-get-her to be together.
The rest of the evening went by roaming down the streets, laughing, smiling and being themselves. Soon, it was time to get back in reality.
Jake had to face his mom now, he still wasn’t over it, not at all to be honest. Bella didn’t bring out the topic because she knew, if he wanted to talk about it, he will at some point. For now, it must not be the right time.
When he reached back home, Jake’s mother saw him coming through the window. She had been waiting for him, somewhat angry that he left without informing her, again.
Jake made up his mind, not to mention anything, not to fight and mostly importantly to just ignore her. His mom however, had opposite intentions.
He went inside, ignoring her gaze as planned and walked on his way towards his room, a safe place. But not everything goes the way we plan, right?
“So, you finally remembered that you have a home.” Sally spoke as she crosses her hands and makes a sarcastic remark.
“House.” Jake corrects her, facing her fearlessly, he continues, “Home is lost somewhere in between.”
Sally almost scoffs at that, when did he get so bold? She was hurt before by his words, was he going to treat her like that from now on? That thought scared her.
Afterall, he is the only one she has.
That didn’t stop her from instigating him more, “Did you went to have a drink again?”
“Mom! I told you before, it was a mistake. Mistake! Are you going to remind it to me for the rest of my life?” Jake screams, he had enough of this. It was time to fight back. He doesn’t even care now.
Sally moves closer to him, her tone softening a bit, “Jake, I really want the best for you. I don’t want you to become like me.”
She wants to tell him everything that’s running on her mind but she couldn’t bring it out.
“I not becoming like you,” Jake replied, he didn’t know why his mom suddenly acted this way.
“Are you sure, you and Bella are just best friends?” Sally asked him, getting straight to the main point.
“How does that have anything to do with this conversation?” Jake cuts her off, this just doesn’t make any sense.
“Because I don’t think you know everything about her, you might lose her if you do something that you’ll regret.” Sally wistfully retorts.
Jake furrows his brows at the sentence, what does she mean by that?
Sally wants to remind Jake that if they decide to do take their relation any further, it would not only end and hurt them but both their families who had been friends for the decade. She was so sure that it won’t last because in her eyes they were just way too young.
Everything would go down the drain, she had been there, there are many complexities in this situation. She indulged in their matters, but according to her it concerned her.
Sally think Clara had no idea about this, and she also knows that Clara won’t like it.
“Jake, think about it, what if she wants something else from you, what if she…” is in love with you. The last words do not leave her lips; she purses them just in time.
“All I know is she won’t leave me, no matter what.” Jake asserts that one sentence and just moves away from that place.
His mind is in daze. He kind of understands what she means by now. He had avoided it for so long. And he would continue to avoid it. There is no way, he would be willing to take that kind of risk.
Bella is my best friend; he repeats in his mind. Done and done.

Eva is called at Bella’s house, and Bella seemed excited to tell her something. That’s quite rare.
Mostly, it was for the new ideas that would evoke in Bella’s head. And she would just need some to brainstorm it with.
She was going to go to her house for preparing for the fest anyways. It was just early in the morning.
Although, this time it looks like there’s something more to it. So, a very curious Eva enters the house, only to get embraced by a very energised Bella.
“Woah there, what has gotten into you?” Eva is taken a back. She blinks as Bella pulls out and flashes an innocent grin.
“This looks like you got hit with some major plot idea. Girl, spill it.” Eva says and expectantly glances towards Bella.
“I am going to confess my feelings to Jake, today at the fest.”
“Wait, what?”
