Jay finishes his drink in silence, no one spoke anything for a while. He strikes a conversation and this is something he wanted to ask from so long, "tell me more about you... I want to know you more."
Bella blinks at him multiple times, he wanted to know her more. No one ever said that to her, she always listened to people, she never talked about herself to them.
Looking at Bella's reactions, Jay reframes his sentence, maybe he shouldn't be so direct about his feelings, "Like I said I love to read, and you love to write. I am curious on what you write."
After Jay's question she eases down a bit and retorts, "I am writing crime and mystery genre these days. I am trying it for the first time, I usually write romantic fictions. I would love to know your feedback."
That made Jay's eyes sparkle with curiosity, "I have a lot of experience in mystery and thriller genre, I could help you with it if you want me to."
Bella's face lit up and she pipes up, "You will? That would be great!"
"So, when do we do that?" Jay asked her, books always make up a conversation.
"I was about to do that, since Jake ditched me, he was supposed to edit stuff. That's why I brought my laptop." She told him while patting her backpack.
And that's when an idea crossed Jay's mind, "How about we go back to your study café?"
"Now?"
"Yes! Right now, lets leave. Show me your work, I can't wait anymore. I can even help you editing, since Jake is busy." Jay offers, Bella agreeing to him indeed made his day.
Bella thinks for a while and then nods her head, she would be able to her work in time and maybe she won't even need Jake's help.
Not that he cared about their channel anymore."That's actually a really good idea, the D-Day is near and I haven't even completed it yet. I could definitely use some help." She grins at him.
"Let's go then!" Jay exclaims and returns the smile. They pay up for their drinks and leave the place.
Jake who was secretly noticing them from long ago, observes them leaving. He gets anxious to know where they were heading next, is she leaving home or are they going somewhere else?
These questions cloud up his mind. He finally decides to follow them.
"I think we should leave." Jake says as he slurps his drink fast. Mia furrows her brows and yells, "But I am not done yet!"
Jake makes up a random excuse and responds, "I just remebered an urgent work, I have to do it now or else it will be too late."
Mia suspiciously eyes him and asks, "What kind of work?"
Jake sighs, this is girl is way too nosy he says to himself and then acts like he just checked his phone, "My mom is calling me, must be something urgent. I need to go... Bye."
Mia tries to stop him by using his words against him, "But didn't you say that you had some work?" but Jake doesn't listen to her.
Bella was way more important for him at the moment and he cannot leave her with that Jay.
He picks up his bike keys from the table and mutters, "I am sorry... I'll see you later."
Mia shouts behind him, "Atleast drop me home!" but Jake was already out of sight.
