Eva calls out for Jake from a distance and Jake excuses himself from his friends and goes to Eva.
He closes the distance and sees Eva panting, "What happened?"
"Your girlfriend, she is with Bella and they-" Eva huffs and pants, while trying to complete the sentence.
"And they what Eva?" Jakes asks her, worry clearly visible on his face as he sees Eva calm down after the run.
"Can't you control your girlfriend? She is threatening Bella, they are locked inside the girl's washroom. If anything happens to Bella, I swear I won't leave you and your girlfriend alone!" Eva warns is a forbidding voice.
That makes Jake's eyes widen in fear, he didn't have a clue of what was going on, he asks Eva, "girlfriend? Are you talking about Mia? What did she do now?" he quizzes all those questions in one breath.
This makes Eva roll her eyes, she had always hated that attention seeker-Mia, and now she has a definite reason to actually hate her.
She tells him, "Looked like your girlfriend was insecure. Why are you bothering Bella when you already have a girlfriend? Stop talking to her and then your 'girlfriends' will leave her alone... this time it went too far."
Jake collects his brows in confusion and asks, "what do you mean this time?"
Bella you might not like this, but it had to get out someday. I am sorry.
Eva takes a deep breath in and explicates, "I promised Bella to not tell you anything, but this time I am not holding back anymore. Every time you dated your 'girlfriends' they made troubles for Bella.
Why do you think she has no other friends other than me? Do you know how much she suffered because of you? I am telling you all of this because it was too much this time, and it actually had something to do with you. This is the last time, please stay away from her if you really think you are her friend or best friend for that matter."
Jake gulps while he tries to take all of this in. He hated himself for not being aware of any of this. And Bella never told him any of this made his chest tighten.
He never thought Bella went through this because of him. She never let it show on her face.
He didn't say anything, he didn't have anything on his defense. If only if he knew this before, he could've stopped it from happening.
This happened behind his back and he would not spare the ones who hurt her. But then again, he was the main reason she was in pain.
Eva's voice shakes him out of his trance, "Now let's go and help her!"
He just nods his head and frantically runs behind Eva to the girl's washroom.
Jay has overheard half of their conversation from behind and he was stunned. He hated Jake, but now he could not believe how selfish and careless a person can be.
Without wasting more time to think about it, he runs behind Jake and Eva.
When they reach the girl washroom, they see Bella with messed up hair and Mia and her two little friends were no where in sight. She clenches her broken glasses in her palm.
Eva, Jake reaches the place and they frantically ask Bella if she was okay or hurt somewhere. Jay is tagging the from behind.
Mia's words echo in Bella's mind, she pretended to be tough in front of Mia but she was very fragile from inside.
Do you really think Jake wants to be friends with you? He just wants to use you for his benefits make some money and then get rid of you... maybe he is just being nice to you, so that he could wave you a final goodbye.
After breaking Bella's glasses Mia stamps them into Bella's hands and goes away in a huff with her minions at her heels, saying, "You'll regret it someday!"
That was something she could not get out of her head, all these years of loving Jake... will she really regret it someday?
How can she? Even if the love she gave him wasn't returned and it left scars, she would never regret it. Because those were the scars she adored, those were the ones who stood out and reminded her how much she loved him.
When she sees Eva and Jake asking if she was fine, she bobs her head and pulls up a weak smile. Eva immediately hugs her, muffling sweet words to comfort her and pats her back.
Looking at Bella in this state breaks Jake, he blames himself, "It's my fault, all of this is my fault. I... am sorry..." he is on the verge of crying.
Jay hears him and that gets on his nerve, he lungs towards Jake, "Sorry? That's it? Every time you break someone you expect them to forgive you?"
Jake takes a step back and glares at him with wet eyes, "This is none of your business!"
"It is! I can't let you hurt Bella- I have already lost someone because you. I can't stay aside and watch. Not again!" Jay accuses in a stern tone.
Bella and Eva's hug is pulled away when they notice a sudden raise of voice.
Jake sighs in agony and remarks, "Bella is my best friend and I will take care of her. You don't need to interfere in our matter."
"Sunghoon was your best friend too, what did you do to him? What did you do to us?" Jay yells as he mentions about a certain someone, tears welled up in his eyes.
Bella breaks away from her trance and asks them, "You know Sunghoon, and what do you mean by that?" Jake never mentioned about him to Bella after that incident and neither did Bella try to bring him in their conversations.
Jake enlarges his eyes at the name and looks away, trying to hold back the tears.
Jay let's out a scoff and glances at Jake, "She doesn't know about what happened, does she?"
"What do you mean Jay?"
"Jake is the reason Sunghoon left us! It's all because of him!" Jay exclaims while trying hard not to punch Jake's face.
"Says the one who used to bully him once! You don't know anything!" Jake replies back, his eyes shooting daggers. Bella couldn't comprehend their talks; she was beyond confused.
"I never bullied him, can't say the same about you!" Jay ridicules at Jake and then lets out a humourless laugh, mocking him.
Unable to control his emotions, Jake punches Jay hard on his face and Jay's nose bursts down, blood flows down on his lips. And his mouth curves up into a bloody smirk.
"You bastard!"
