Panickily Bella spreads apart the duvet from her body and went straight out of her room.
Shouting his name all the way out, “Jake! Jake?” Yesterday’s events play back in her mind, only to worsen her anxiety.
Does he remembers what he did yesterday?
“Geez Bella, chill down for a while.” Clara practically runs out of the kitchen and goes in direction of Bella’s voice.
“Mom did you see Jake?” Bella meets her mother’s gaze and then she knows that her mother knew where he went.
“When did he left?” She asks her when her mother tries to avoid her eyes.
At the same time, Eva enters the house, she was super hyped to know about how the party went or what happened back there, but when she sees Bella and her mother in an awkward silence, she waits for them to finish the conversation.
Accidently, she hears them.
“He left a while ago; I suppose half hour has passed.” Clara finally reveals and puts a reassuring hand on Bella’s shoulder.
At this point, she was overwhelmed with unknown emotions, be it Jake leaving the house without acknowledging her presence or be her mom trying to hide it from her.
She was scared, rather terrified by the fact that their relation might change because of that night.
As much as she didn’t want Jake to remember the kiss and everything that happened past night, but couldn’t stop herself from wondering on what he might think about it.
After all friends don’t kiss each other, or do they?
It’s not like that hadn’t happened before, but they were passed it, way back then. But now they would have to face it since they grew up.
Things were going to get awkward now, and that’s exactly what Bella didn’t want, that would drive them to farther lengths from each other.
Judging by the fact that Jake straightaway left without confronting her, she knew it was just the beginning. She tried to put herself in his shoes, he must’ve been embarrassed and she understood that it might be one of the reasons he left.
For him, it would be no big deal.
But for her? It meant a lot.
Clara saw the sudden change in Bella’s expressions and she instantly asked her to take a seat and that if Bella wanted to talk about it, she could always find her for it.
Both of them saw Eva waiting in the living room. Her eyes lit up when she saw Bella, and when Bella kept looking down, refusing to look at her, Eva knew that something is wrong.
And yet she asked her about it, “Is something wrong?” Bella shakes her head and mouths, “I am fine!”
“I know you’re not; you won’t give me that reaction, talk to me.” Eva grabbed Bella’s hands and holds them tight in her grasp. She leads her to the couch in the living room and makes her sit beside her.
