We had a half of a day at school today, because it is Halloween. Its 11:45 and the last bell of the day just rang.
I open my locker door and waited for Nina who went to the bathroom. After a minute of staring at my open locker, she popped up besides me. "Is everything okay?" I asked.
She nodded. "Its fine," she said. Then she opened her locker. "You ready for tonight?" She asked. I knew she was really excited about this party. She had been talking about it all during chemo. She was more worried about our costumes, than her own life. Which I guess kind of upset me.
I cared so much for a person's life, who barely cared about it themself. And it hurt. "We might win the best couple's costume," I said. She nodded.
"I know!" She replied, excitedly, "that's like all I could think about." And I knew that was true.
"You think that you should be worrying about other things?" I said to her.
"Like what?" She asked. I shrugged.
"I don't know," I said, shaking my head, "Chemo? Your cancer?"
"Are you asking me to be upset that it chose me?" She asked. "That I'm going to die? Did those letters explain nothing?" She was angry quite yet, just frustrated that I couldn't see this from her point of view.
I shook my head, "No," I said taking both of her hands into mine. "It's just sometimes I worry, because you don't care whether or not you die."
"I don't, though," she responded, "As long as I know that you'll be okay, I'm okay," she said. And I know that's exactly what she meant.
I nodded. I closed my locker and took her hand. Then walked to the parking lot where my car awaited us.

6:45
I walk through my yard and Nina's to get to her house. She kept my costume, because she wanted us to change together.
We're going as a hot spy couple. I knocked on the door three times. "Hey," Nina said opening the door.
"Hey," I said, "Ready for the party?" I asked. She nodded. Then she took my hand, pulling me inside. I closed the door as she kept pulling. Eventually we were in her room.
She'd cleaned her room. It was spotless other than candles everywhere and rose petals all over her bed and around it on the floor.
"What's all this?" I asked, smiling.
"You made me realize something. I do value my life, and the one thing I want before I die is to be with you," she says, "Completely."
I smile, "And that's your only wish?" I ask. She nods. Than she takes of her shirt and pulls down her pants.
I take my shirt off, too. Then she kisses me, passionately. We keep kissing as her hands slide down my body reaching for my belt buckle. She reaches it, taking it off. Then she unzips and unbuttons my pants and slowly pulls them down.
I wrapped my arms around her waist and her arms were around my neck and her hands sliding through my hair.
Then we lay on the bed. "What about protection?" I ask pulling slightly away from our kiss.
"Because of chemo, I'm like 90℅ infertile or whatever." She says kissing me again, "So there's a super good chance I won't get pregnant." Then she kisses me again.
"Are you sure?" I ask. She nods, kissing my lips and then my neck.
Then we are completely with each other. Both of us together. Two souls and bodies becoming one. As we engulf ourselves into each other.

7:45
Nina and I lay next to each other underneath the covers. We are facing each other and I'm playing with her hair. This whole evening was perfect.
"Thank you for loving me," Nina says.
"You too," I say, "I can't imagine what my life would be like without you." Then I take one of her hands and intwine her fingers with mine.
She smiles. "This moment is literally perfect," she says, "But we only have ten minutes until the party starts." I laugh. She was so into this party. "What?" She asked, defensively.
"Your so cute when your excited," I said rubbing my thumb across her cheek. Then I kiss her. "Let's go," I say. Then we both leave from under the cover. Her door is closed and so are her curtains, so we get from under the covers just as we are. Not ashamed, because we've been together and we know each other, now.
Nina puts on her bra and underwear while I put on my boxers. She pulls two leather outfits from her closet.
She puts on skin-tight black, leather pants a black cami and a black, leather jacket with black combat boots. She has a pair of black sunglasses for the both of us.
I put on tight, black leather pants with a black tank top and my black, leather jacket. I have plain black soldier-like boots. I put on my sunglasses and walk over to Nina.
I wrap my right arm around her waist, pulling her into me. "Let's go solve a mystery, babe," I said.
"Totally," she says, pulling something from behind her back. It was walkie-talkies.
"Oh cool," I say. I take one from her. She attaches one to her belt loop, and I do the same. Then I pull her back into me and plant a kiss on her perfectly shaped lips.
"Time to partay!" She said. Then her phone started to ring. "Beth," she said. Then she answered.
"Hello," the a pause. "We're on our way." Another pause. "Yeah. Okay."
I look at her questioningly, wondering what that was about. She shook her head. "Beth was wondering where we were. She the party had already started." Then Nina laughed.
Beth was also a perfectionist. She was obsessed with having every party, costume, outfit, benefit, or any event perfect.
"Well, you ready to go?" I asked. She held up her finger and walked into her bathroom. She was in there for no more than a minute and came back out with a high ponytail. Since her hair was shorter, now. The ponytail didn't go past her shoulders anymore. It stopped right above her neck.
"Ready," she said grabbing her phone from her bed and stuffing it in her tight, pants pocket. I thought I'd better grab my phone and keys too, so I walked over to her dresser to pick them up.
Then we headed down the stairs and out the door. When we got outside we walked to my car. She got in the passenger side and I, obviously, got into the drivers side. Then we drove away towards the school.

8:30
We finally arrived at the school after a small detour to the gas station.
When we got there, Nina called Beth to let her know that we were here. She most likely answered on the first ring, since we were like thirty minutes late.
"Hey, Beth, we're here. At the entrance. Come meet us," then she hung up. We stood by the front steps, waiting for Beth to meet us.
While we were waiting, I started a conversation. "So, earlier was nice," I said.
"Nice?" She asked. Then she laughed. "Wow, Alex, you sure know how to charm a girl," she said sarcastically. I laugh. Leaning my head to rest in my hand.
"You know that's not what I meant," I said. "I meant that it was perfect. You're perfect," I said taking her hands.
"I know," she said pulling our intertwined fingers to her side as she started to kiss me.
After a second or so, we were interrupted by Beth. "Woah," she said putting one hand over her eyes, "Don't let me interrupt you," she said. Then she spread two of her fingers apart to look at us.
"No worries," Nina said. "We just having fun. It was nice," then she laughed.
"What?" Beth asked a smile spreading across her face. "You guys....is that why you're late?" She asked. Nina looked at me. Neither of us said a word.
Then Nina grabbed my hand, dragging me behind her. "Let's party," she said. And Beth followed. And we had fun dancing the night away.
