Alex's POV:
I woke up the next morning to the sound of uhauls moving into the drive-way outside of my window. I got up, grabbed my toothbrush, and headed downstairs. "Rise and shine, sleepy-head," my mother joked while playfully running her hand through my hair as I sat at the table.
"We're getting new neighbors!" Angela, my six-year old sister yelled, running into the room with her teddy bear held in her hand by one arm. "Really?" I asked picking her up. She nooded. "Can we go say hi?" she asked me, "Please?" she said starting to lower her bottom lip into a pout. "Of course," I said, "but maybe we should get dressed first." I said, pulling on her pajama shirt. She laughed.
Nina's POV:
I walked to the only window in my room, right above our drive-way. I looked into the window right across from mine. The first thing I thought about was: Alex. Does he still live there? If so, would he even remember me? I really hope so. I had a major kidy-crush on him back in the third grade. I walked away from the window starting to get emotional at such far away memories.
I rumaged through the box entitled bathroom. I grabbed my silk robe, my Violet Bloom body wash, and my pink loofah. I turned some music on my phone, set it on the sink countertop, and got into the shower. I had my own bathroom in my room, so I had the door open. The I heard a crash.
I pulled back the shower curtain and stuck my head out looking into my room. My eighteen-year old brother, Paul, was standing there with a box in his hands and another box of my books spilled across the floor. "Really?" I asked. "Sorry," he responded, "They put my xbox and games in here." I scoffed. "I'm surprised you didn't carry that in your lap on the way over here," I teased. He just walked out the door, closing it behind him. I laughed at how addicted he was.
After a five-minute shower, I grabbed my pink, silk robe and my phone. I was about ot turn the music off, but my favorite son by Amber Riley and Naya Rivera had started to play. River Deep, Mountain High. I set my phone on my bed and saw a shadown out of the corner of my eye. I looked out my window, but nothing was there. I started to turn back, but I saw a guy. A really cute guy at that. He was walking around in a towel grabbing clothes from everywhere and throwing them everywhere.
I took a moment to admire him. He had short, curly-ish, brown hair. He was about the same heighth as me, taller though, but by no more than six inches. He had really great abs, and you could tell that he worked out, but not too much. I stood smiling, thinking, what if his was Alex. The Alex Jensen that I remember. I felt like if we made eye contact, I would just know. Then my wish came true. he looked through his window at me in my pink robe, arms folded. He smiled. I turned my head slightly as I tucked my long brown hair behind my ear, then I looked back to him. I returned the smile.
For our first time "meeting", I'd say we were both a little underdressed. He looked down at himself afte a minute or two and I could see his cheeks turn colors as he remembered what all he was wearing. I shook my head, smiling, and walked towards the window. I waved goodbye tp him, then closed the curtains. I laughed. I cannot believe that just happened.
