It’s been almost two weeks since I slept with Tyler and I have seen him only once after that. I didn’t spend the night with him. I wanted to take a shower and wear clean clothes that were mine, plus my dad and mostly my brother were worried sick. That’s why I convinced Tyler to take me home. He wasn’t eager to do that, but I didn’t give him a choice.

After we pulled up in front of my house, he kissed me once again and said that he would call me. I just said goodbye and went home.

There, I had to deal with my overprotective brother. At first I avoided his questions, but soon his persistence just pissed me off and I snapped, telling him about my affair with Tyler. Alex was furious, to say the least. He kept repeating how stupid I was and that he would break my heart because Tyler apparently was not a guy who dates.

I managed to shut him up by letting him know that I was the one who didn’t want a relationship and that this was just a fling to calm down my horny self. That information kind of made him feel uncomfortable, and he just stormed out of the room.

Thank God dad didn’t ask any questions and left me be.

After that Tyler never called and I only saw him when I had to take some stuff to the Grim. Tyler tried to question me about the things that I told my brother and that what happened between us was not a fling. I was not in a mood to argue with him, so I just said “what ever” and left. He didn’t follow me, as Grim called him to discuss a job.

At the moment, I was getting ready to meet up with Piper. After I told her what happened, she kind of threatened me into going out. Apparently, if I refused, she would come and drag me by my hair out of the house. I would have agreed to go out even without that threat. After everything, I was tensed and needed to blow off some steam.

Though I was in a mood to go out, I was not in to dressing up. I chose a simple blue top and my black ripped jeans with my boots. I pulled my hair into a ponytail and put on a light makeup, just enough to mask the dark bags under my eyes.

I was barely finished dressing when Piper rang the doorbell.

“Hey there. Wow, you look good,” she complimented me as I opened the door.

“Seriously? I didn’t even try that much,” I chuckled.

I put on my parka and grabbed my wallet, keys and phone.

“So, where are we going?” I asked as we pulled out of my driveway.

“The bar. I feel like beer and french fries with the bad ass atmosphere. What do you say?” She looked at me and winked, then turned her attention back to the road.

“Sounds good enough for me. But please, no firefighters, police officers, or any other male specimens tonight. Just us girls, alright?” I just wanted to have fun with my friend. No guys or anything like that.

“Of course,” she laughed and turned on the radio.

After we finally reaching our destination and getting out of the car, I could tell that the place was packed. There was a full parking lot with cars and a bunch of people were hanging outside the building. When we entered, my suspicions were proven right, as there was not a single empty table.

“Fuck, it’s crowded,” Piper groaned. “Do you see any free table?”

I looked around but couldn’t find one. Though what I did find was not something I wanted to see tonight.

At one of the tables sat one of the hottest guys around here dressed in a perfectly fitted black t-shirt with a beer bottle in front of him, cards in his hands and a bunch of dangerous looking guys around him.
