I was sitting in my car in the middle of nowhere. Forest surrounded me.

It was 8.59 pm and every second that passed made me cringe. I was dreading the time when the clock would show 9 pm, because at that time Greg promised to call me.

Though I was holding the phone in my hand, I hadn’t decided yet if I’d answer or not.

I was cold, hungry, and thirsty. I hadn’t left my car since I got in after I ran out of Tyler’s house.

When he kissed me, I knew that I had to get far away from him, but to do that, I’d have to leave town.

The way he kissed me... It didn’t feel like a threat, or him proving a point about making me submit. No. It was a promise. A promise to take me, to own me, to break me if needed. I just knew that he wouldn’t stop until I was his.

So now I had two psychopaths coming after me. The worst part was that I knew what to expect from Greg. He was a well-known evil. But Tyler... I had no idea what he was capable of or what length he would go to get what he wanted from me.

What I knew, though, was that Tyler was coming for me. After I kicked him in the balls and when on the floor I kicked him in the chin, there was no other option for me but to run. I couldn’t go home either. He would find me there easily and I didn’t want to bring Piper in my problems so here I was, in the middle of nowhere, all alone in a freezing car.

I gulped as the clock showed 21:00. As promised, my phone rang. It was an unknown number.

My heart was pounding in my chest. I was anxious to answer, to say the least. What would I tell him? What would he tell me? There was a possibility that he didn’t know my whereabouts, but then again, if he knew he would come for me and I wouldn’t see him coming, which was more likely the case.

But the time was running out. The decision had to be made now.

“Didn’t think you’d answer.” A deep voiced chuckle was heard on the other end as I picked up the phone and put it against my ear.

“What? Aren’t you going to say hi to your boyfriend?” He joked, but there was no hint of amusement in his voice what so ever.

I hadn’t heard him for such a long time, but his voice sounded so familiar.

“You are not my boyfriend, Greg. You lost that right the moment you raised your hand,” I said, determined to sound confident, but my throat was so dry my voice came out raspy and shaky from the cold.

“Don’t fool yourself, doll face. You are still mine, and it is time to come home. You’ve had your fun.” It was official. Greg had lost his mind. How could he think that I would ever go back to him? After all the torture he made me go through.

It was a miracle that I got over all of that trauma in record short time. Well, as over as I was ever going to get. And still, I had come farther than most victims, that had suffered like I did, ever would.

“I will never go back to you,” I gritted through my teeth. He had woken furious monster inside of me that was ready to rip his eyes out and make him choke on them.

I have no idea why, buy I jumped out of my car. I was breathing hard to try to calm myself down. All that anger was too much and slowly started to turn into a panic attack.

“You don’t really have a choice in the matter, love. Better say goodbye to your family and pack your stuff, because I am coming for you. Can’t wait to have you back in my arms. Mmm to smell your sweet scent... to feel your smooth skin against mine... to feel that dirty little mouth on my dick...” he talked in a husky voice. Every word made my stomach turn.

“Shut up, shut up, shut up!” I screamed at the top of my lungs.

Tears streamed down my frozen face as the wind was blowing snow in my face without mercy.

Suddenly, my phone was snatched out of my hand. I stared in shock at Tyler as he turned his back on me.

“Listen here, you piece of shit. Do not ever dare to contact Amabel or come anywhere near her, because I swear to everything that’s holy to me, I will put you in a box 6 feet under. Do you hear me?” Tyler roared so loud that every animal in a two-mile radius probably ran away.

As my mind was going from the thought of getting into my car and getting away from here to how did Tyler found me, he turned around and stomped in my direction, stopping right in front of me.

The murderous look on his face while he stared right into my eyes made me tremble in fear.

“It doesn’t matter who I am. All you need to know is that if you hurt her ever again, there is no place in this world you could hide where I wouldn’t find you.” Tyler sounded so sinister. He looked like a devil in a skin of a beautiful man.

“And that’s where you are wrong. I do not make threats. I make promises.” With that, Tyler ended the call, not leaving my eyes for a second.

I gulped as he tilted his head to the side.

“Get in my car,” he said slowly, emphasizing every word.

“No, I...” I tried to protest, but his voice killed all the resistance in me.

“Do not disobey me right now. I am so close to losing it.” He didn’t move an inch. I knew better than to poke a raging beast with a rod, so I quickly hurried to his car that was right behind mine.

Turned out that in the heat of the conversation with Greg, I didn’t notice Tyler pulling up.
