It's been almost two weeks since I was home. Everything was going great. I found a job at the local bookshop. It was nothing big, but at least I didn't have to sit home. I had to work from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 5 pm. It was quite boring, but I could read any book in the store. That helped.

It was Friday, and I was closing the shop.

"Hey Amy." Piper waved at me and came closer. I met her on my third day at work. She was buying a book for her book loving brother for his birthday. We talked and realized that we went to high school together and actually had math together. We never really talked back then, as she was from the rich part of the town while I was at the bottom. But she was cool. She worked in the kindergarten as a teacher. She was sweet and funny. We went and hung out twice already. And she was the only person I could consider as a friend in this town.

"Piper. What's up?" I asked as I put the keys to the shop in my bag.

"Nothing much. I was walking by and saw you. What are your plans for tonight?" She asked. We walked towards my car, that was parked near to my work. Dad kind of forced me to take it. He said that he rarely ever used it and that it was too dangerous to walk to and from work every day. Not that I agreed with him, but I was too lazy to walk every day.

"I don't know yet. Why? Do you have something to offer?" I looked at her.

"What about girls night out? We could go see a movie and then we could go to the bar or something. My friend Emma will join us. What do you say?" I needed to get out of the house. At least, that's what Alex told me.

"Sure. Sounds good," I agreed.

"Super. I'll meet you at 8 pm at the cinema then." She gave me a quick hug, and we said our goodbyes.

I drove home.

As I got there, no one was home. I unlocked the door and went inside, putting my stuff down on the bench in the hallway. I made myself a quick dinner that comprised the mac and cheese that dad made yesterday. After I finished eating, I went to take a shower. While showering, I heard my phone beeping, showing that I got a new message. After finishing my shower, I wrapped myself in a towel. I picked up my phone from the side of the sink after it beeped.

It was a message from Piper. A picture of her and another girl. Both of them wearing kind of short dressed and high heel boots. Under the picture, it read, "You better dress just as sexy. We are going men hunting tonight." I laughed out loud. She was unbelievable. How could that woman work as a kindergarten teacher was a mystery to me.

"I'll try to keep up with u." I wrote back.

Chuckling again, I put down my phone and got ready. After finishing with my hair and make up, I went to see what kind of sexy things I could find in my closet. Few options. In the end I wore my black t-shirt dress that ended mid thigh with black over the knee high heel boots. I looked at the time and it was already 7.40 pm. I quickly grabbed my bag where I put in my ID, cash, and phone.

I put on my leather jacked that had a fur inside and headed out.

Finally, at 8.05 pm, I arrived at the local cinema. As I didn't see Piper anywhere, I went inside, where I found her talking with the blond girl from the photo she sent me. I went up to them and greeted both girls.

"Hello ladies. Is this sexy enough?" I twirled around and laughed.

"Didn't need to step over line there." Piper glared at me, but then laughed. "I'm joking. You look perfect." She gave me a quick hug and introduced me to Emma.

"I'm Amabel. Nice to meet you." I smiled at her.

"You have an interesting name. I like it." She smiled politely. At the moment, she seemed like a cool girl.

"Thanks. So, what are we going to watch?" I asked both of them.

"I don't know. Let's see what they are showing right now. We just need to beat the time somewhere before we go to the club," Piper smirked.

"I thought we were going to the bar." I looked at her, confused.

"Oh bar or club, I don't care, as long as there are hot guys," Emma laughed.

"You definitely need to get laid, Piper. Gosh," we all laughed.

We ended up watching "IT". Piper didn't seem to enjoy it as much as Emma and I. Ok, we loved it, while Piper hated every second.

"It wasn't even scary at all. Seriously, Piper," Emma chuckled at her.

"Yeah, I mean, we couldn't stop laughing," I smiled sheepishly.

"You two were the only ones laughing. Like really? It's supposed to be a horror movie. Everyone in there was scared, at least at some point. And then there were you two freaks," she went out of the cinema after we got dressed.

"I've just loved horror movies since I can remember myself. I guess I am immune to them now." I shrugged.

"Yeah, whatever. Let's just go get drunk." We went to my car and drove to the local bar. It was too early to go to the club, anyway.

When there, I ordered a coke while both Emma and Piper ordered some weird alcoholic cocktails. I didn't mind to be a driver. At least I could go home whenever I felt like it.

It was around 2 am. Piper and Emma both were drunk, and we had forgotten about the mission to find sexy guys to spend the night with. We were having too much fun just talking. It turned out that Emma and Piper were cousins. Emma moved here a couple of years ago while Piper's parents left town. She didn't want to live alone in her big house and Emma had just broke up with her boyfriend and wanted to change something in her life. Now she was helping manage a local bank.

We were laughing about a joke Piper said when my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID, but it was an unknown number. I knew it could be Greg, but what if it wasn't?

I quickly excused myself and went outside, where it was much quieter.

I took a deep breath and answered the call.
